I am convinced that God and his Meteorological Committee did not include idiots in the development of the needed coverage of some weather manifestations on Planet Earth.

God was annoyed. At their daily meeting he asked in a very unusual harsh tone:

“Which one of you monkeys…

Toll in Indiana fair stage collapse rises to six -

I perceive there may have been political attitude involved in the apparent

complacency demonstrated with respect to this Storm. We've been witnessing a

growing contempt, and disregard of Climatological Science being expressed by

members of 1 of the major political parties for years now...

This Storm was no freak system as reported by damage caused by same system at

the Historic Farmington Hemp Plantation, South of Louisville, KY:

"We got hit with a major…

Energy for economic growth

August 16, 2011

By JJ PIRKO , Tribune Chronicle | TribToday.com

How about some job-creating sustainable energy projects to revitalize our region and reduce our dependence on foreign oil? After four decades of economic disaster and decline, triggered by the rising cost of energy since the OPEC oil embargo of 1973, we are emerging as a hotbed for developing new sustainable energy industries.

Here on the "Tech-Belt"…

Can Pickens Plan and Electric Vehicle Save Us from the Oil Crisis?

As explained in my earlier article, Electric car is Doomed To Failure as a Mainstream Car, the current focus of auto industry is working on an operational replacement, instead of a strategic replacement. DOWN MEMORY LANE

“How did this mess start, Profe?”I asked.

For a moment, the color on his complexion acquired the worrisome tones of paleness and his eyes seemed to have lost its usual brilliance and purpose. In a slow cadence, he said;

“There are several conditions leading to this…

Artificial Leaf Makes Hydrogen--Could Be the Do-All Technology Breakthrough for Hydrogen Economy

Drawing from nature, Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor Daniel Nocera thinks he can draw cheap and clean energy from water.

At the National Meeting of the American Chemical Society, Nocera yesterday presented results from research on making an "artificial leaf" to split water to get hydrogen fuel and oxygen. The goal is to use the solar cell to make hydrogen, which would be stored and then used in a fuel cell to make electricity.

Using solvents in oilsands uses 85% less energy and NO WATER.

A company called Nsolv has a process by which it is possible to extract bitumen from oilsands without water and only using 15% of the energy required by steam assisted gravity drainage. They pump a heated solvent such as propane through the well and collect it and the bitumen from the bottom of the well if I understand correctly.

Fossil fuels get potentially greener every day. It's up to indrusty to utilize the technologies.…
