Oil magnate and clean energy champion T. Boone Pickens tried to whip up enthusiasm for domestic natural gas this morning while speaking at the Long Beach Convention Center.
Pickens, founder and chairman of investment firm BP Capital Management, delivered the presidential keynote address for the Solid Waste Assn. of North America’s WasteCon 2009 event. He took a folksy, can-do approach while touting his Pickens Plan for energy…

Introduction
Allow me to say at the outset that I am 56 years old. The sky has been falling for most of my life, and it has never once hit the ground that I know of. My childhood home had a fallout shelter because the Soviets were going to bomb us back to the stone age. Jesus was going to rapture the church and the Tribulation would follow. Global cooling was bringing another Ice Age. After a while, you simply stop listening.
Now, even I think I'm beginning to sound like…

Solar energy was the first energy source used by mankind.
Of course, the use was limited to drying things and heating caused by direct contact, but it was a use. In modern times, solar energy has been a power source since the early 1950s, but was not widespread due to technological issues which rendered it an ineffective and expensive energy source. With technology advancements, solar energy is moving to the forefront as a potential alternative to fossil fuels.

Why go Paperless-USA Green Jobs.Org weighs in or out?
9) Instant document retrieval
Document Imaging allows users the ability to quickly and easily find documents without ever leaving their desk. Paper documents are much slower because users must either search for documents in countless filing cabinets or offsite storage rooms, and there is some chance the file is gone or is unavailable.
8) Simultaneously share documents
Imaging makes it easy to share documents…

I ditto what tboone pickens has said only I was a young child when carter was president and had no way to check and ballence the words of any of the presidents words or congress. I had to win over the ears of older people who when told to tell their senators and to tell them with the seriousness that I was telling them how we can as president and congress redirect money to building reusable fuels. Not very many did anything at all. some did for a short time. Just like a person prays for a…

With all the Presidential news media, the state of the economy, etc., there seems to be a lack of
new data regarding new activity for change. Just the other day I was driving in North St. Paul, and
noticed a huge wind tower that must have recently been installed. That truly gives me hope. As far as seeing
new energy vehicles on the highway; we still have a long ways to go.

All is not quiet on the Marcellus Front...
------
After three chemical spills [1] in the past nine days, and following a history of environmental problems over the last year [2], Pennsylvania officials have ordered Cabot Oil and Gas, one of the most active natural gas companies in the state, to stop its hydraulic fracturing operations in Susquehanna County pending an intensive review.
"The department took this action because of our concern about Cabot's current fracking…

Lately a number of AZ08 group members have contacted me in regards to a letter they have received from Congresswoman Giffords. The letter outlines her belief in the most effective use of natural gas is through power generation and not transportation.
Those of you who have received the letter may have also received an email about the "Solar Technology Roadmap Bill" which she intends to introduce to Congress. For those of you who have not received the email, I have attached a copy of…

Army,
Today, I had the pleasure of talking with the Irving, TX Rotary Club. I told them about the Pickens Plan and the importance of HR 1835 and S 1408. The Irving Rotary Club is sending a letter to Senator Cornyn and Senator Hutchison of Texas, asking them to co-sponsor S 1408.

As you can see below, there is another army - one concerned with preserving our drinking water, rather than adding irresponsibly to our already over-stocked supply of Natural Gas (Natural Gas is at a multi-year low in price).

If the Pickens plan (which I support) supported a National Energy Lottery (see blog below) proposal and the 4 million followers donated 5 bucks a week for this Energy Raffle, there would be 800 winners a week or 41,600 winners a year
of a $25,000 voucher good only for Renewable products, ie; solar, wind, hybrid, energy green appliances, etc...and be fully transferrable as well. Take advantage of the Fed's energy credit and it would buy around $32,000 worth of Green product/s.
