Today, I saw a fantastic article on Yahoo! Green, discussing one environmentalist groups recent campaign. The group was upset about a particular companies sale of pesticides overseas which is outlawed here in the US. The pesticides are linked to numerous health issues in humans as well as malformations in animals. However, with some clever thinking the group came up with an innovative "solution." They decided that they would all send a pair of old underwear to the companies headquarters until it…

Ok, so I don't get much from my congressman and usually don't agree with him at all. But hey, our present problems call for bipartisanship, doesn't it? Check out this response from Congressman Randy Forbes from one of my recent letters on the Nat Gas Act. It sounds crazy - and it might never pass, but this might be the one time he's done something I suggested... Your thoughts are welcomed...

I just had a chance to go back and look at Gore's speech to congress about the treaty talks coming up in December in Copenhagen.
In order to regain its credibility ”and enter the Copenhagen treaty talks with a renewed authority to lead the world in shaping a fair and effective treaty”, the United States needs to build its own capacity to generate clean electricity and subsequently institute a national cap-and-trade system for CO2-emissions, Gore said.
As a means to this end, Gore advocated a…

Hello Fellow Pickens Plan Colleagues,
We are all well aware that the Congress is attempting to vote on a trillion dollar economic stimulus plan that has very little to do with renewable technologies. See, this is why we needed to march on DC and hand over a petition to Congress expressing our views on their plans/intent for this economic stimulus bill. Now, we are left with the phone and email. Very sad. I sure hope you'll all at least phone your representatives. It is going to be a dark chapte…

I may be the only person who is NOT surprised that Congress is actually continuing to act like a bunch of spoiled brats. I expected the Republicans to act like the "loyal opposition" (oxymoronic at best)...and I have three of them as my reps in the congress.
Apparently the Democrats have decided to act like children also.
I think we need to make it clear that 1.4 million people want a change in the way things are done.
What would happen if a senator got 1.4 million phone calls this week?
Wha…
