What can replace fossil fuels in our motors? Algae Biofuel. I'm going to explain how this proven and renewable energy source, which we can grow in our own country, can solve some of the problems we face with energy, pollution, environment, health and economy. What's keeping us from growing our own fuels? Currently, we don't have the farms constructed to grow the algae and, fossil fuels have been cheap enough to keep us from converting. Now that petroleum fuel has lost some of its affordability,…

I see renewable energy as a long term investment for our economic and national security. Anybody who installed solar panels on their houses 15 years ago are now enjoying free electricity.
I am personally concerned about nationalizing healthcare and exploding deficits and believe these will be the achilles heel of the new administration in the elections of 2010. Unfortunately, the country would have benefited from their desire to promote natural gas and renewable energy ---- away from oil, coal…

I just sent a message to my newspaper on why I support a carbon cap.
A majority of Americans support a cap on carbon pollution, but you wouldn't know it from what you read in the papers or see on the news. And right now it's important that our Members of Congress know we aren't fooled by the scare tactics.
Will you send a message to you local paper too? It's really simple -- just use the tool on Al Gore's Repower America website:

Thanks!

The dismal economy is casting a long dark shadow over technology and innovation and the best solution the government can come up with is to rebuild roads and bridges. Oh, there are "green" jobs in the works, but exactly what that means and whether or not investing taxpayer's green in "green" things is ecomonically sustainable hasn't been given much thought. After all, once something is clean and green, do you still need to spend the same amount of money on it? Maybe a little bit of dirt is good,…

According to a Bulletin (sort of trend forecaster from European perspective) issued out of Cannes, France, the collapse will come "before summer 2009" because the U.S. can no longer make payments on its national debt. According to "Lettre Confidentielle de LEAP/E2020" the US economy, now in deep recession, will collapse. The resulting lack of tax revenues will make it impossible for the federal government to pay even the interest on its ten trillion dollar national debt.

Fellow Picken Planners,
Recently the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 was signed into law. One thing most people might have missed with this Act is the
H.Amdt. 748 Amendment that requires electric suppliers, other than governmental entities and rural electric cooperatives, to provide 15 percent of their electricity using renewable energy resources by the year 2020.
So what does that mean?? Well in a…

The economic failure that we, the US, are facing is not just a failure of our economy but it is a global fialure in the economy. If as the economists would like to have you believe it is driven from subprime mortages it would be limited only to those nations that have undertaken simular lending practices. But the economic failure is not limited to only those nations, it is effecting all nations across the globe.
This has to raise the question as to what exactly is the cause? To answer that simp…
