The Obama administration should have sent federal stimulus money not to the U.S. states, but to cities, where ”most of the environmental damage is done and most of the chances for improvement are,” New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg said Tuesday.
Bloomberg joined about 80 other local leaders from around the world at a ‘’summit” that took place alongside the U.N. climate conference.
The mayors and other officials were from rich capitals like London and Tokyo and impoverished cities as Addis Ababa…

Americans need proof before they believe that the technology is real. I am a retired scientist who
has Monday lunch with my engineer friends. These educated men do not believe that an
18-wheeler can run on natural gas. Nor do they believe the earth is getting warmer. They only
believe what they can see and touch. Boone, to make believers of the majority, you need to be
touring the country in one of these 18-wheel natgas trucks. Until it happens, the majority will
remain skeptics. Good luck and k…

without personal contact with T Boone Pickens,,,his Natl gas in 18 wheelers is to displace fossil fuels and much polution of diesel engines; with nat;'l gas engines,,,for powering "all 18 wheelers"
this conversion,,,that must be mandated by dongress, as it requires a new nat'l gas engine in "all trucks" and that's big money for the new disign and new truck..
but,,,,,,the benefits are two fold,,,,,
a) displaces many, many barrels of oil that has make the diesel available for the trucks;;; and de…

Alternative Fuel Vehicles (AFV) was created in response to what we see as the extremely negative consequences of our country’s ever-increasing dependence on foreign oil, and we believed strongly that the air quality benefits of alternative fuels would help improve not only the environment, but people’s health.
AFV is founded and co-sponsored by WIH Resource Group (http://www.wihrg.com) and Waste Savings, Inc. (http://www.wastesavings.net), both companies are based in Phoenix Arizona. Their resp…

The nation’s supply chain is getting an energy-efficient shot in the arm that will make transporting goods more cost-effective, energy efficient and environmentally friendly. A series of cost-sharing grants from the Department of Energy, totaling $300 million, should help 25 separate projects add more than 9,000 alternative fuel and energy efficient vehicles.
The grants also w…

Technology is often born of crisis, not because it is the correct thing to do. Take for instance the knowledge of Alternative Fuel has been around for years yet the general public is just now becoming aware of it.
Recently, I watched some old news reel footage of
Henry Ford and George Washington Carver from the 1940’s where Henry Ford took a bat to a prototype vehicle that ran on ethanol and was made from so…

I saw the ad for a CNG trucking workshop on the
Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association website advertising a CNG Trucking event and did a little research. It seems that one of the key sponsors of the event is the US Department of Energy. I went to their website and found more information on the Clean Cities program as well as links to other similar workshops around the country. If you are involved in the trucking industry you may want to attend on…

We have all seen freight trains pulling rail cars loaded with truck trailers and shipping containers but it wasn't until I saw an ad on TV recently that I really started thinking about the potential of intermodal transportation from a "green" perspective. The ads claim that freight trains can move a ton of freight 436 miles on a gallon of diesel fuel and that is probably true. Compare that to the mileage of a tractor/trailer on the highway and the difference is obviously huge. Imagine a future i…

3rd- We can improve America’s faltering TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM in a way that can save billion and trillions of dollars while putting more people to work creating it. Again America would become a leader and showcase of the World. To make clear, the following new transportation system can be built beside, and with little interference with, the present Interstate system. As each segment of the system is completed it can immediately become activated to save billions of dollars. The present system sho…

Saving the Big 3 for You and Me ...a message from Michael Moore
Wednesday, February 18th, 2009
Friends,
I drive an American car. It's a Chrysler. That's not an endorsement. It's more like a cry for pity.
And now for a decades-old story, retold ad infinitum by tens of millions of Americans, a third of whom have had to desert their country to simply find a damn way to get to work in something that won't break down:
My Chrysler is four years old. I bought it because of its smooth and comfortabl…

A message from Jake to all members of Pickens South Florida on PickensPlan!
None of the site will tell me how to convert my car to natural gas. some don't
work or they say only for fleet . what do I do?\]
Good question, Jake. I have found the same information you have.
The links folks have provided to access conversion information only leads to more and more links, with no real end point to information. If conversion exists for autos to date, I think many would be interested in…

While
EnergyGreen supports the "drill, drill, drill" plan to increase oil production in the US, we are taking steps to fund the build out of a national vehicle fuel network that will deliver alternative fuels for cars and trucks. On the production end, this initiative includes bio diesel plants, ethanol (non-corn) plants, natural gas production, hydrogen production and electricity plants. On the retail end, this initiative includes a national logistics system &a…
