Suburban Convertion.

I'm going to be pushing for converting suburban homes (suburban basements,more specifically) into green houses for food production.. by recycling the upper story materials for the construction of "stepped" framing for 65 deg. rows of south facing multi wall polycarbonate...the thermal mass afforded by the basement berms could store enough solar energy to moderate Wisconsin winters. garages could be easily beefed up with insulation and lumber left over from the green house conversion.... thermol… Continue

a RE: Yup....allready been there.I think each home haveing it’s own renewable sources and storadge is not the greatest idea though,as it gives people the wrong impession...In that thier Houses,the way i see it, are the problem...i don’t care how efficient it is.. a 2000 sq.ft. home,with a 6000+ sq.ft. lawn,is not "green"(re tool too SCP and permaculture scapes)....also it is far more cost effective to put big turbines where the wind is good (as per Pickens), and reflected solor sterling (far mo… Continue
