"PICKENS' NATURAL GAS NATION" - Toronto Globe and Mail 9/26/08

Good article in the Toronto Globe and Mail about Mr. Pickens and the Pickens Plan. In it, while he reiterates the need for the U.S. to free itself from its dependency on foreign oil, Boone is quick to point out that he doesn't consider Canada a "foreign" oil and gas source. "It's considered North America - we're all one big happy family."

N.J. firm picked to build Rhode Island’s wind farm

Thank you Kim Anderson for this news out of Rhode Island. Deepwater Wind, a New Jersey-based firm, has been selected by state officials to finance and build a massive wind farm off the coast of Rhode Island. The 100-turbine wind project is to be located 15 to 20 miles off the coast, a distance that would make the wind turbines practically invisible from shore. We are recruiting campus coordinators for colleges and universities to represent the Pickens Plan on campus. Looking for someone who can create a college page on the Pickens Plan site and also a college page on Facebook encouraging folks to sign up for the Pickens Plan.



The ultimate goal of the Pickens Plan is to get 1 MILLION people signed up by next January when we will take our MILLION PERSON ARMY to Congress to demand independence from foreign oil.
