CO2 sequestering; facts from the experts!

We hear a lot (mostly from oil interests) about CO2-sequestering (capturing, and storing underground).
Here is a magnificent facts-based paper.
This can scare the living - - - - out of you.

ENERGY CONFERENCE: Wow! Combine wind, natural gas, PV and Plug-in Hybrids, and there is hope for our future!

Re. Energy Conference: Wow! Impressive!

The reason why we support the Pickens Plan is BECAUSE we support wind-power, and because it will free (22%) of electricity made now with natural gas, and which will be the greatest single-most factor in reducing CO2, and which will reduce our (irresponsibly high) trade deficit.

As per research data from Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI), wind gives best results when combined with solar PV roofs, and PV is now more cost effective than… Continue

NEW SCARY RESEARCH FINDINGS SHOW: Coal is out (and usage must be reduced) and CO2 sequestering is ILL-logic.

After learning about the September 08, reports from international scientists (that natures capacity to balance CO2 had been constantly decreasing over the years to now 54%), I contacted various US government departments and was told that the US carbon (carbon, not CO2) per year is 1.75 billion tons; to convert to CO2, the conversion factor is 3.66.

Let’s see what these numbers tell us:

1.75 (billion tons of C/year) is 1,750,000,000 tons.

Divided by 365 = 4,790,000 tons of… Continue

COAL, the # 1 problem in global warming! The ILL-logic of CO2 sequestering.

About the ILL-logic of carbon sequestering:

First some stats and general data about CO2:

Approximate total US CO2 production PER DAY: 35 Billion pounds. This includes everything, from burning oil, gas, wood, including what people and animals exhale (2 lbs. of CO2 per person per day), fires, volcanoes, etc., etc.).

Nowadays (has been decreasing over the years) trees and oceans are only capable of balancing 54% of all CO2 produced, leaving us (in the US alone) with an… Continue

COAL - - there is no such thing as clean coal - - BY FAR OUT-WEIGHS OIL IN RESPECT TO ENVIRONMENT RISKS!

With oil, we can replace it with wind, solar, plug-in hybrids and more. While burning oil products, like gasoline or diesel, produces water and CO2, coal produces 100% CO2.

With coal, we have no choice but to stop building coal-fired electricity plants, and to stop the pseudo-science of liquified coal (synfuels).

According to preliminary data, five new coal-fired generators with a combined capacity of 600 megawatts came online in the United States last year.

For an overview of… Continue

ELECTRIC DRAG RACING: Electric 72 Datsun beats Corvette, BMW

You MUST see this one.

An old Datsun, an electrician with brains - - - and they beat Corvette and BMW on the drag strip! Please forward this to US Auto Makers.

A logic test:

A has only about 25% of moving parts of B (price $ 20,000), yet price of A will be at least twice as much as B ($ 40,000+++).

FACT: The moving parts of A cost far less than the parts for… Continue
