Could someone tell me why it is so darn expensive to convert a pickup/car to CNG? And, why is it so difficult to find a conversion kit?



Back in the 70's I converted my pickups to propane. The whole kit was about $1000.00, with the 100 gallon tank that set in the bed. The kits were available from my local "Coop" or the Kansas/Nebraske Gas Company!!!



I would love to be able to find one of my old kits and use CNG!
