My 1996 Crown Vic was an factory-built and engineered by Ford, it's a dedicated Natural Gas Vehicle not a conversion fuel by Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). While it uses a Ford 4.6-L 2-valve modular V8 it's factory horsepower rating is 180 (SAE) hp. This is down roughly 10-15% from it's gasoline-fueled brother.
