Hi all...
The NJDLD (New Jersey District Leader Delegation) is discussing strategies for a Towne Hall meeting event this fall. We are reaching out to regular members and RL's who have participated in or produced these events in the past and asking for advice and information on the process. It's not evident or conclusive at this point that Boone's schedule will accomodate a personal appearance which we would prefer; but want to consider it anyway as an important community outreach for the PP obj…

We have heard and read recently about a proposed BILL for a government run
GREEN BANK. There are a variety of opinions about it's purpose, structure and value to the objectives of Clean Energy development and Energy Independence. Some are in favor and some agree with the general idea but have a dim view of the government’s ability to manage a successful outcome.
On first reading, some, myself included, felt it demonstrate…

BE 500 PEOPLE!
The first day of the 3 day Pickens Virtual March on Washington is around the corner. Among other actions, I’m encouraging everyone to send a single eMail EVERY DAY. In political arithmetic that is counted as 500 in the minds of our elected officials.
YOU ARE 500 PEOPLE. Every eMail legislative aides receive is statistically calculated to represent 500 people in a congressional district who feel exactly the same way...even if they didn’t actually write. That’…

Jim Muhaw and I want to thank all of the District Leaders from NJ-11 for attending Wednesday evening’s tele-conf call. We had almost 100% attendance across the State and two RL's on the call. Micha Lauer, RL from Idaho, and Geoff Bailey, RL from Texas. The meeting was spirited and productive.
Our focus was a Town Hall meeting for later this year with Boone in attendance along with local business, utilities and political reps. It's possible the event will be held at a University i.e., Rutgers, P…

Apparently there were several companies that made poorly designed first generation turbines. People driving down the freeway noted broken turbines using that as a battle cry against the wind industry. The author's recommendation was not to use tax shelters but to use production credits or tax shelters for actual electricity produced. This would ensure companies getting credit are the ones that produce.
I see this as potential parallel to what is going to happen in the future. The wind ind…

Here's a comment from my friend Paul Cooper about a very early Wind Turbine installation in Vermont way back in 1941. Paul has just joined Pickens and NJ-11. He is a specialist in turbines and pumps. He is also a long time member of the…

To add to our Oil Dependency dilemma...it appears our major supplier of oil and neighbor in the northern hemisphere is faced with some major issues of its own; including a simmering revolt within its own boundaries to end the destruction of its forests and storage of toxic waste exceeding by 10 million gallons a day the US consumption of gasoline. Canada's oil exports to Americans exceed that of Saudi Arabia. A little known fact south of the border along with our comparable ignorance about…

It's easy to be in synch with your emphasis on the immediacy of our need to begin solving the vexing issues confronting us. I can't imagine that anyone would reject that magic wand if it appeared including T. Boone himself.
Considering the depth of the difficulties and their insidious multi dynamic grip on our economy, security and environment it's hard to imagine there…
