T. Boone Pickens, 11.26.09, 10:20 AM EST
Forbes Magazine dated December 14, 2009
It's high time we had a plan to replace imported oil with domestic natural gas.

Army,
The holidays are coming up and that means there is an opportunity for us to keep the momentum building toward the adoption of the
NAT GAS Act (H.R. 1835 and S. 1408).
Members of Congress will be home for Thanksgiving week; and then will be home again for the Christmas/New Year holidays.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to e-mail, call, or drop in to your Member’s District O…

With CPS Energy's nuclear expansion plans on shaky ground, San Antonio soon could be looking for other ways to meet future energy needs.
The nuclear option isn't dead yet — the utility's trustees will learn Monday whether last week's trip to Japan yielded an estimate low enough to win back City Council support. But its prospects have dimmed since news that a $4 billion cost estimate increase had been kept under wraps, leaking out just two…

Bloomberg
November 12, 2009
Nov. 12 (Bloomberg) -- The price of oil will rise to $100 a barrel next year if economic growth continues, billionaire investor T. Boone Pickens said.
Rising demand in China and India, combined with “maxed- out” world oil production at 85 million barrels a day, contribute to increasing oil prices, Pickens said today at a conference held by Bloomberg Ventures, a unit of Bloomberg LP, parent of Bloomberg News. Natural gas is ”on its back” and the pri…

Army.
We reached our goal of 120 bi-partisan cosponsors of the NAT GAS Act (H.R. 1835) way before 11/20.
Our efforts are having an impact!
You know the numbers on natural gas:
2,000 trillion cubic feet of reserves in the continental United States; more than 100 years worth -- enough to fuel our heavy truck fleet, provide electrical power to our homes and businesses, plenty for cooking and heating, and more than enough remaining for other crucial uses like fertilizer and chemical pro…

Too often in Congress, and in our political debate, people stake out a position and, in the course of defending that position, refuse to credit anything their opponent is saying. We’ve all seen that.
When it comes to passing a clean energy plan for the United States, we need to take a broader, longer look at all of the tools we have at our disposal to accomplish two very important goals: Enhancing national security and reducing our dependency on foreign oil.
Far from…

RICHARDSON — Oil-baron-turned-clean-energy-proponent T. Boone Pickens held a town hall meeting at the University of Texas-Dallas Thursday to discuss his plan to wean America off of foreign oil and become energy independent. The 500-seat auditorium the event was held in was packed; so much so that the speech was simulcast in another building to an additional 350 people interested in hearing Pickens outline his plan.
In the town hall meeting format, Pickens thrives. He i…
