THE ELEPHANT IS IN THE ROOM

This blog was first set to be viewed by and commented on by friends only. It is now open to everyone to see and comment upon. Prior to this blog there were three emails sent out to a select group of individuals to lead them to the elephant. If you were not a part of that group this reference to the elephant may be confusing. Here is an explanation that should help... There is an old saying that talks about a person looking at an elephant. According to the saying, a person cannot stand in oneContinue

A STORY OF WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A GREAT IDEA MEETS BAD MANAGEMENT.

Several years ago when I was living in Florida my landlady stopped by one day to tell me about this local man she knew who had come up with an innovative house building system. This man was looking for investors to help fund the launch of his idea and my landlady, who had already made an investment, was attempting to interest me in doing the same. Whether she was surprised or not at my immediate interest and willingness to learn more I’ll never know but the next evening she drove me over to this… Continue

MONTEISMS III

Here is the standard Monteism header: In case you haven't looked at or read my first or second set of Monteisms, I want to tell you that my Monteisms are emprical nuggets of wisdom that I have gleaned from my environment. There is no original material here. It has all been said by many others many times before and in many different ways. So all I have done is add my own unique twist from my own perspective. Even though the wisdom has many sources I am fortunate that when I happened across one o… Continue

YOUR VALUE

Make no mistake, just in your agreeing with the Pickens Plan and acknowledging that we need to move in a different direction for our sources of energy and then focusing your attention on the idea of that becoming manifest, is a very powerful action in and of itself. But there’s even much more that you have to offer this movement. When you decided to join the ranks of the Pickens Army you instantly brought something of great value and importance to the table. Now the wording of this may sound od… Continue

EVALUATION OF DATA

We are being constantly bombarded with an almost overwhelming amount of data. Much of this data that is thrust in our face, in one manner or another, comes to us pre-evaluated. That is to say, that it comes tagged as being good, bad, interesting, important, useful, funny and so on and so forth. And many times we don’t bother to stop and evaluate the data we are getting for ourselves. Instead, we just accept what is labeled on the tag it comes with. While this approach is admittedly much easier a… Continue

LOOKING INTO THE CRYSTAL BALL

Of course, I do not have an actual crystal ball to gaze into and predict the future (sorry about that). However, a crystal ball is not necessary to see what is coming if I just make a simple shift in my point of view. For example, I could be in the cargo hold of a ship and be aware, even without seeing any water that I was in a vessel moving through a body of water. But I couldn’t be aware of much else outside the solid confines of that hold. Then I could go up on deck and from that point of vie… Continue

THE WIN/WIN APPROACH TO THE PICKENS PLAN

I just hope that I’m not dragging you off to the deep end of the pool with where I’m about to go. For me to think that I can exist, much less survive, without maintaining a continued cooperation with everything around me would be a display of idiocy in the extreme. It is obvious that continued life is a vastly complex system composed of an enormous amount of both micro and macro interdependent systems. And the balance between these systems is often quite delicate. This being the case it behoove… Continue

TOP PLATE DISSEMINATION

Years ago I reluctantly went to a workshop on dissemination. Even though I went with one foot dragging the workshop turned out to be quite helpful and I was glad that I invested the time to attend. There was one lesson I learned that really impinged upon me that afternoon and to this day I refer to it frequently. The person conducting the workshop presented the lesson in the form of an analogy. I’ve always been one to appreciate a good analogy and when used appropriately, analogies can provide a… Continue

MONTEISMS II

In case you haven't looked at or read my first set of Monteisms, I want to tell you that my Monteisms are emprical nuggets of wisdom that I have gleaned from my environment. There is no original material here. It has all been said by many others many times before and in many different ways. So all I have done is add my own unique twist from my own perspective. Even though the wisdom has many sources I am fortunate that when I happened across one of these nuggets I was at least cognitive enough t… Continue

ARTISTS ROUND-UP

As mentioned in the opening statement of The Artists Round-up Group that was created on the 9th of September 08, the primary purpose of this group is actually dual. First: to literally round-up all the artists who have enlisted in the Pickens Army. Second: to establish a single location on pickensplan.com where artists can make themselves and their talents, skills, expertise and more known to each other and to all on this site. This is not only intended as a resource for the artist but equally fo… Continue

IDEA - ACTION - FORM (with intention)

I don't think that if I stated that an idea is senior to action and form that I would get any disagreement from any of you. I mean, I tend to view this hierarchical arrangement of idea, action and form being generally accepted as an empirical fact. Now, perhaps in some rare circumstances the action step can be skipped but I don't think so, at least, not in this universe. And maybe, if the action is the result of a stimulus response, then any need of an idea or, for that matter, any thought could… Continue

QUOTES moved here from my front page

"Silence, they say, is the voice of complicity. But silence is impossible. Silence screams. Silence is a message, just as doing nothing is an act. Let who you are ring out & resonate in every word & every deed. Yes, become who you are. There's no sidestepping your own being or your own responsibility. What you do is who you are. You are your own comeuppance. You become your own message. You are the message." "In the Spirit of Crazy Horse" Leonard Peltier ...............................… Continue

This Is A Project Not A Discussion.

On August 27th I started a discussion in the forum category (same title as this blog), Using this Site .http://push.pickensplan.com/forum/topic/show?id=2187034%3ATopic%3A841663 My introduction to the discussion was much to lengthy to leave as it was so I deleted the paragraphs where I explained more in depth of why I thought this is a project of value. I believe that the more understanding a person has on anything the more they will be able to "think" and "do/act" with the topic. Therefor… Continue

Why I call the Pickens Plan a game.

I know that there are people out there who believe that calling something, they consider valuable and important, a game is viewed as being a manner of insult or degradation. Or they think if you're calling it a game then you obviously aren't taking it seriously enough. Those people, though, do not understand the anatomy of a game. In any case, at this time, I will clarify the point of my referring to the Pickens Plan as a game. I am calling the Pickens Plan a game because it possesses all the el… Continue

Four Key Factors In Playing The Pickens Plan Game

First: Thought is senior to action, form and condition. All action, form and condition are preceded by an idea, an intention, or decision. This is one of those universal laws that I am sure you are very aware of but perhaps don’t often consider, or at times, forget altogether. However, in many individuals the notion of the seniority of thought has inverted where form, action and condition are now considered to hold the senior position. Of course, since thought is senior and this circumsta… Continue

The Three Categories of Players in the Pickens Plan Game

I am now going to address three basic categories of Pickens Plan game players. These three categories form a triangle (you will notice that there are many triangular relationships that surface in this game). If there is any order of seniority between these three categories I do not know what it is. Therefore, I consider all three to be of equal and essential importance. Not only to the game, Pickens Plan, but to life. Each category has many, many degrees within it including multitudes of subcat… Continue

WARNING: DISORDER AHEAD

Whenever you decide to rearrange the existing order, even if it’s more of an existing disorder, of something and then proceed to do so, you will instantly experience increased disorder. Recall the last time you decided to clean out and organize the junk drawer, the garage, a closet, your desk, your bedroom, etc. and do you remember what happened when you carried out your intention? Well, whatever the project, before you went into action with this intended plan of yours, there was an extant orde… Continue

Monte's Monteisms

You would think that on a site that is devoted to opening up a new era of alternative energy and energy independence by way of pushing and supporting the Pickens Plan....well, you would think that my first blog would be something about that. But no, I want to come in at a much lower level - down here in the bedrock. So, be it as it may be, this is my very first first blog ever. Monte's MONTEISMS Following are what I call Monte's Monteisms. They're policies, guidelines, guardrails, guide… Continue
