As the largest producer of distributed power generation (DPG) systems, and more recently, a leading producer of wind turbines in China, the Shenyang China based company, A-Power Energy Generation Systems, will become the leading alternative energy company in Asia over the next several years. Fortunately, with the current global economic downturn, shares in this company have fallen to levels that provide, in my estimation, a 75% discount to intrinsic value.

Maybe Boone Pickens cannot get financing but the Chinese are going to plow ahead a 586 Billion Stimulus package into ""INFRASTRUCTURE""" plays..........APWR, the power station building company into WIND is going to benefit!
According to a CNBC report, China’s oil demand edged up in October. A Reuter’s graph of China’s imported oil demand clearly indicates a 4.3% increase in October from one year ago. Oil demand recovery, along with the undergoing strong Chinese stock market recovery (see my prev…

I watched the 60 Minutes interview.........I have watched about 15 different interviews and T Boone repeatedly said '''I am NOT doing this for money, I got enough money''''. Lo and behold, when the price of energy drops, all of a sudden the wind farm idea has gone south and the Nat Gas side of the equation just dissappeared. Now, all of these folks who heard the same over and over bravado of """I am NOT doing this for the money'''' all of a sudden backs out of everything???????? Why then are we…

Small Wind Turbine Federal Tax Credit is Law
Today Congress passed legislation, the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, H.R. 1424, that includes a new federal-level investment tax credit to help consumers purchase small wind turbines for home, farm, or business use. A few hours ago, President Bush signed the bill into law. Owners of small wind systems with 100 kilowatts (kW) of capacity and less can receive a credit for 30% of the total installed cost of the system, not to exceed $4,00…

Obama must start immediately and slash the stupidity surrounding ethanol production and subsidies to pay famers to grow corn based on making ethanol . Hard decisions must be made immediately cause the price of ethanol never has made sense and economically, its KILLING our economy as cost of food has skyrocketed as the demand for corn has caused world food economies to soar. Wind is much more efficient and wind is here today!!!

''more than the entire USA generating capacity'''
China’s insatiable demand for energy
China’s strong economic growth has been fueled by a rapidly increasing demand for energy. China’s energy consumption has exceeded 10% annual growth for the past five years, according to China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). The International Energy Agency (IEA) estimates that China’s primary energy demand will increase 3.2% annually from 1,742 million tons of oil equivalent (MTOE) in 2005…

Iberdrola and EDP: Deep Pockets
Unlike smaller rivals in the U.S., which are finding it hard to raise funds in tight credit markets, the Europeans are backed by well-capitalized parent companies, allowing them to expand just when others are cutting back. Analysts now expect Iberdrola and EDP to start snapping up some of the cash-strapped independent companies that account for roughly 40% of the U.S. wind-energy business.
"Under current market conditions, the big player…

Barack Obama is going to win the presidential election. Now, what does this mean for clean energy and especially wind energy since Obama promises to pump 15 billion per year into renewable energy???. IMHO, Wind energy is going to rocket between now and 10 years from now. Why Wind???? Answer::: a 10 to 1 solution over solar. 10 times the output per dollar spent on costs of installing wind vs solar.
so, HOW to invest into Wind ???? Wind ETF's which are a diverse targeted WIND investment.
