Over the last several months, Boone has had some great meetings with editorial boards across the country. And the results have been well worth the effort.
Following are some excerpts from what is being written about the Pickens Plan on the editorial pages of some of the most influential newspapers in the United States. We’re making really good progress. Click here to visit our blog, Daily Pickens, to view more in-depth coverage of what editors, elected officials and members of the…

Good Afternoon!
We are smack dab right in the middle of August Recess. Members of Congress (MOC) are back in their districts, holding events and Town Hall meetings. This is our time to shine army! While the majority of the current Town Hall meetings are focusing on Health Care, other issues are covered as well. I would encourage you to attend your MOC Town Hall and ask them a few quick questions:
1. What is your plan to end our dependence on foreign oil?
2. If you…

T. Boone Pickens is a bit ornery these days. Not that this isn't his normal disposition. The legendary oilman didn't build a net worth of $3 billion and become one of the most ruthless corporate raiders of the 1980s by being agreeable. But Pickens's recent consternation is understandably a little more intense than usual. A year after he unveiled his $10 billion bid to save America by planting wind turbines up and down the Midwest, thereby helping wean us off some…

Washington Times – 7/20/09
By John P. Krudy
Texas oilman T. Boone Pickens is a surprising convert to alternative energy and an unlikely wind-power proselytizer, but he is ramping up his campaign to cure the nation's energy dependence in the face of skeptics who say the effort is too ambitious.
Worried by the massive transfer of wealth to foreign and often unfriendly…

July 8 (Bloomberg) -- Billionaire investor T. Boone Pickens said today that he is delaying, not canceling, a $10 billion wind energy project in Texas.
The so-called Pampa project will be postponed until 2013 when Texas is expected to complete a $4.9 billion transmission line, Pickens said in Washington today. News reports yesterday that he was ending the project are wrong, he said.
"I didn't cancel it," said Pickens, 81, the…

Natural gas is the Rodney Dangerfield of transportation fuels. It's cheap. It's clean. But consumers don't have much of a chance to use it it because there's only model of natural gas car for sale.
Billionaire investor T. Boone Pickens has been beating the drum the loudest lately about the merits of natural gas as a clean(er) fuel that can also make the U.S. more energy independent. His argument was bolstered this week by the discovery that the U.S. may…
