PickensPlan

It seems like a redundant question, this weeks 200,000 plus visitors to www.pickensplan.com is pretty good proof that T. Boone has already made the biggest and fastest impression onto the American scene in regards to the potential for wind power, solar and CNG autos/trucks on making America energy free, especially with the younger social networking crowd--you think any other 80 year old American males added 2,500+ new friends on Facebook, myspace, linked-in etc. social networks in the last 3 days let alone ever?

He maybe older than younger, but he knows what is going on, and like Obama he is tapping into the modern miracle of social networks to get the word and more importantly to fan the decentralized nature of social bottom up networks vs centralized top down networks.

I don't expect the ruling gentry of the dying "Little Kings" era to understand what is happening anymore than Hillary understood Obama's genius strategy of building his movement online using the power of social networks and tapping into the angst of the younger generation facing a monumental, but very achievable task, of fixing some of the big problems America faces in the next 10-50 years

these days, better networks dominate, bigger institutions!

I wait with great excitement for the emergence of the brightest new leaders from young Americans,
the boomers are done here, let us help out on the edges with some wisdom gained over the years, this is your
battle kids and it is for your kids and my grandkids well being.

here is the article on the Ole Man.

I agree that politicians do not play the major role in what gets done in America or my home state of Oklahoma. However, they have connections with business, and Boone recognized that even before he started this campaign. The issues I have for the next President are that the leaders pay too much attention to those that run the show in the background. Whether it is Congress, Officials, The CIA or FBI, or Homeland Security or NSA, the facts are that the players are not the ones we really see. The players are the ones that can prevent or enforce their will on the people. If we, the people, do not have the income or the subsequent power to influence the system, then we get what they let us have. Boone has done a great service to the little guy, even though it WILL help him get some return. After all, he IS a businessman and I admire the fact that he has dished out a lot to get this started, not for profit in particular, but because it is the right avenue for America and its future. Now, if local offers for work occur, then the plan will have been a success. If there are offers as a result of support jobs, then the plan is a success. If the US reduces their total use of oil products by 1/3 in 3 years, then it is a real success and I suspect the entire system will respond by developing education systems, encouraging new businessmen to get started with plans that can help them succeed and help people at the same time!!!! What a value! If it takes 20 hours a week from me for free, then lets get this going! Talents accent the offering for Boone, and I believe those talents will be recognized in the future, which again means offers and changes that will benefit society, improve tax revenues, and still permit states and the Federal system to offer serious tax incentives to reduce oil product usage. Solar is ready to explode into the southwest, where solar days are 6.6 hours to 8.5 hours average! If those hours are used to make solar energy, then the costs of all fuels will drop and speculators will run from oil stocks! I believe it will happen if we keep working for subsidies until the parity of price occurs
sometime in 2014. Others are predicting 2015, but I think we will get there earlier and even 2010 is achievable if the materials for capturing solar energy go down significantly as is being discussed in California, at Berkeley labs, where a new compound is being evaluated at 70 % efficient, compared to the standard of 20 % industry wide. Mr.T.Boone might be old but he's probably like a billionaire in his own right, he's got moxey, he's got the vision to help get this started. I'm sure he had the people behind him to get this network up and running and up to speed. Also, I am a republican, eight yrs. of the Clintons and certainly nothing was done to directly help this country along in progress. There were threats from the Middle East (whats his name - the guy running around on his camel now hiding, possiably in Pakistan), the USS Cole was attacked and all we got was a pouty president claiming to find "those who did it" Obama has talked as though we can't do anything for the big problems facing America today, I heard him. America will make these changes when we are all sick and tired of rising costs. This has been going on (oil) for several weeks already. We are tired of being slaves to foriegn oil and seeeing our utilities rise every year. It won't be any president, no Obama, no McCain, none of them....who will lead the way. It will be the private sector. Our rich, our best companies, our people of all backgrounds, investors big and small. God Bless America. We have finally woke-up!
