We are in the final days of the Presidential election and a new Presidential Administration will be in place in January 2009. T. Boone Pickens and his nationwide army of supporters are calling for an Energy Independence Plan to be enacted within the first 100 days of the new Administration.
We are calling on you to:
1) Sign up online in support of the Pickens Plan to demonstrate the importance of this issue to voters! Email your friends and family and get the word out. Our goal is 1 million members signed up ASAP!
2) Ask your Member of Congress and other elected officials in your area to sign this pledge. Hi Judy,
i just sent the e mail to my state representatives . I would have liked to personalize the mail to discourage the building of new nuclear power plants but could not do so. Ingrid Gowdy.
In regards to Conrad Watson's comment : Mr. Pickens is not just interested in the use of natural gas . He built a windfarm in Texas and is driving the new Honda with a hydrogen fuel cell . And what's so wrong with using natural gas instead of oil . It pollutes less than oil does .
With the new extraction method for natural gas maybe we should all invest in it ?! Ingrid Gowdy

It's beginning to sound like we are being hoodwinked by Pickins. I joined the plan at the outset when he seemed genuine. If he is genuine he would support Obama who will provide the VITAL support for renewables. McCain had 23 oil lobbyists on his campaign staff and will do everything he can to crush the RENEWABLE initiatives. Don't tell me he is unbiased. He is now backing the SWIFT BOATERS to disparage Obama. He really wants his plan only for natural gas; for which he has staked billions. He is traitor of the highest magnitude with no courage at all.
