Tough Times Never Last, But Tough People Do!

That is the title of a book written by Robert H Schuller, founder of the Hour of Power. I have read the book many times, and am going to reread this week. These are TOUGH times. Like many others I have been glued to my TV as the financial crisis has unfolded. I just could not believe or grasp what was being reported. Our savings were wiped out.

I have been trying to put this all into some kind of perspective. I had to decide what I want to do about continuing on PickensPlan.com. Here is what I have decided over night. If I can help even one person on PickensPlan.com, it is worth just hanging around. I am NOT sending out any more emails to my elected officials, been there, done that. I am not going to help the regional leaders do their jobs. However, I will be here as a friend to all the many people I have met via the site.

Glad to call you friend Linda. These are tough times....I too have been volunteering here on pickensplan.com since July 8th. I have made so many friends, some I am sure will be lifelong. I have learned so much since getting involved, not only about energy and the environment, but about myself. I do believe that one person can make a difference. Most battles you go alone on are uphill. I do not know what the future holds, but one thing I do have for sure is faith. I have learned what being an American is all about, and intend on continuing to do the best job I can to be the best I can be. I have two little girls that are watching every move I make, I sure don't want to disappoint them. Take care and we will always be friends, Sam
