Well the morning was hectic and I was nervous. I readied, prepared, and hoped...
I hung the two signs that JC Signs of Wolfeboro donated outside on both sides of the A Frame. Topped that off with 40 balloons and 1 gigantic Happy Face Balloon, very festive. My husband went out at 6 AM and posted 14 signs I had made, armed with a mallot and a coffee went and drove the signs into the sides of Rt 16, 7 coming up from the south and 7 returning from the north. He stayed and helped me ready the store, put out all the food and drinks and hang all the posters outside on the building. I just love him! I worked my self into a tizzy, was scarred, not able to get passed the thought, what if no one showed up, most of the morning I was a wreck. Then he calmed me and said, "you know what, even if only one person showed up, it would be ok-not because of bad #'s but that I tried". He was right. I calmed down and then, SCOTT L'ECUYER made a 1-hour trip down from Bethlehem, NH and spent the day at The Emporium helping me and speaking with people who came in. What a guy. Please send him, my husband and JC Signs a shout out of appreciation.
The results: I began the day nervous and we ended the day with 135/or 137, I sent the numbers to Judy DePalma about 2:30. We were so excited that we wanted to share the results with all of you. Thank you Mr. Pickens for bringing this to everyone’s attention and for making this a possibility we could believe in. I will finish up with the energy information day tomorrow. I have plenty of leftovers and some people took pledges and said they would be back in Sunday.
Well that is the all of the day. I am beyond excited that we hit our mark and then some.
