Pickens Debate Party

If there's a post-debate party in Greater Boston (or preferably IN Boston, downtown Boston), I most likely would attend. Though I live in Malden, I work in the Longwood Medical Area IN Boston [Orange Line/Green Line(s)] for Harvard Medical School and Harvard School of Public Health, where we buy 'green energy' for the school, and where MY Department last year was voted 'the greenest' HMS Department, and where we're currently 'Greening' the building by reconstructing it to become more energy frugal. Let me know if you find such an event - OR activities to promote NON-nuclear sustainable energy solutions for our world (and by derivation, for us and for America).

My wife used to work in the IT department at HMS and a few of our friends are still there (Kate McCormack, Anna Greene)... If you know them, tell them I said hi though the site and tell them they should join, I've been bugging friends and family for a while now but so far, no turnout.

Thanks for your post. I'm not aware of any such event -- not personally invited of involved in one -- but hopefully one of the other folks will have someting in mind. At present I'm conspiring to get my landlord to turn my building "green" -- he's pretty receptive but I need to have something solid lined up so it's not just an idea. A three unit brick apartment bldg with a pizza shop on the ground floor and a nice flat 40X40 roof. I'm planning to approach some local solar and wind outfits to see if they can afford to jump on board, provide the basic equipment and supplies in exchange for using it as their star project. If we can take this one building off the grid, no more NStar/National Grid, it would establish the fact this can be done on small buildings right here in the city. A 'plus' is that I'm a general contractor and can either do the work or provide guideance to keep things within code. We'll see...
