As I see it the key to this is private investment and individual property owners using their assets in the free market. Most oil and gas in the US is now on government owned land both on shore and off. A few areas like the Bakken oilfields are still on private propoerty so this is good. Wind and solar can be generated on private proprty and sold in the market. If the Nancy Pelosis and Barack Obamas of the world are allowed to regulate this effort, then it is all for naught. Keep the government out at all costs and sell the power the private utilities for distribution. Folks can get rich and create a new baseline in the economy.

Hello Charles....

Your first sentenceto me had 97 words in it.... I really could not follow the rambling chain of thought. Your 4th grade English teacher should ut you back in third grade and make you truncate at maybe 10 - 12 words, tops.

It takes a considerable amount of effort to get supporters to invest in a objective, when it is not a political insight such projects are well looked at like there was no teeth to it, no capital, no franchise opportunity or a national dealership such that Sears is in their only brand support but they act like franchises just the same cause the outlets are owned by individuals not associated with Sears and so they can and don't do everything a normal Sears store or warehouse does accomplish as it is more than likely not a authorized dealership. But if we were to make the choice to start a service which consumer's could depend on in every state with individuals that believe in it in that state working for its success and having a Union then I think it is possible to accomplish, moreso I believe we could out manage the automakers in opportunity to consumer's and they would have to eliminate a massive amount of the population once we succeeded cause those folks don't even need their advertising.

that is why and exactly how mutual funds were developed...Not every dairy farmer has enough capital to own his very own dairy....but every dairy farmer does deeliver milk to a dairy to make a profit from his milk and cream..... What good does having government involved in making dairy products... none at all ...Mutual funds allow the same form of proportional investment that each individual can muster....it's not that complicated.... Some guys can buy 1000 shares and others can buy 2 or 3. But all shares make a profit..

Hi William,

I totally agree with making a profit. I'm not an expert in the power industry. Hey. I'm not even a novice. But I would not "volunteer" for the sake of "good will" alone. Of course I want to make a profit! I just dont want to move in a direction that prevents the fund from accessing the federal grant money that is easily obtained for smaller scale (In contrast to Pickins Plan) kenetic energy harvesting.

However; in contrast, you should know that I received a report today that has me revisiting the original objective of non-profit status. The grant money is nice but this updated model (Sun Eddison) is just crazy profitable.

I'm learning this industry daily, hourly, and by minute; and for the most part... You are 100% on target when you say "Keep the government out of it." I am not politically motivated but I may share contrasting political views with you generally speaking. But this business and all money is ultimately made on a pre-tax basis. As long as the rules are not prohibitive to the little guy then I 'm voting for whoever supports an energy policy that does not become a market barrier. We have enough of those as it is.

Their are many plays in this emerging geopolitical landscape. Distribution of energy is big money. At a cost of a half million dollars per mile, it looks like constructing or augmenting the existing grid is one of the more intelligent investments and their is not a lot of grant money for this purpose. However, again, the ROI is massive.

if you don;t understrand private property rights, then I guess I can not explain it to you...This is not the work of oil companies...this is generation of electric power by individuals on private properties....has nothing to do with oil...

This all sounds like a good plan but if there is profit there will be profiteers.
Big business will overwhelm changes, because they have the finances to accomplish their desired ends and it will not be advantageous to the little people. Major oil companies have controlled and vetoed changes in the past and have the power to continue this control. How do you plan to change all of this?
