AES First International Exhibition & Conference of Fuels, Bio Fuels, NGV & Hydrogen

October 22-24, 2008 at La Rural, Predio Ferial de Buenos Aires

AES (Argentine Chamber of Fuel Retail Stations) is to hold their First International Conference of Fuels, Bio Fuels, NGV & Hydrogen. AES says the event will be of great importance for fuel station owners, conversion kit producers, equipment manufacturers, oil companies, professionals, etc., due to the fact that it will deal with the future of fuels. At the same time, the fuel retail station suppliers (Liquid and NGV) will be invited to participate in working meetings during the exhibition.

All the retail stations in Argentina are invited to participate in this event, with discounts on hotels fees at Buenos Aires city, as well as sets of mini-tours & shows pre and post event.

Also, the main companies dedicated to the production of bio fuels and hydrogen vehicular fuel research and development will be invited, together with National Universities and Government Agencies.

More information will be published in the next issue of AES magazine www.notiaes.com/RevistaAES, or visit the expo website at www.expoaes2008.com

My Opinion: The rest of the world seems to be moving right along with CNG and Syngas fuel implementation. Luckily the Pickens Plan is trying to help the US catch up with the rest of the developing world.

Just saw my first Syngas advertisement in my local paper. I am not surprised that it is getting some good attention. I am curious about it so if you have a connect to another link where we can get that info, it will help, since Syngas could become a serious competitor to the Picken's Plan CNG concept. How both work is interesting, but after seeing a Prius built by Toyota this week, that got 52 miles per gallon, I believe the concept of dual fuel cars is ready to work as a stop gap measure until stronger batteries are developed for long distance electric vehicles. To do otherwise is not an option I want. CO2 is still a huge danger to our environment and we do not have much time to reduce it effectively. It is the primary problem, but getting to it is having to wade through slow economic growth and insanity in the car and truck industry. They don't know what to build! Thanks for the info. Oklahoma is on the go this year and next. Wind and Solar in November and December Conferences for state officials and state departments. Expect to see another Conference in May next year.

Are there good sources of technical information on converting internal combustion engines to use of CNG? Most of us can not travel to Argentina to get informed.
