Hello, my name is Adam, I am developing a very promising design of vertical windmill, there are pics on my page. The most incredible experience for me was to share this with EVERY SINGLE POLITICIAN in WI and IL with only the response of "Looks good young man, you keep it up"...literally. I delivered photos & diagrams with no response. I have dedicated my life and sanity to this project because I believe it has honest potential. The concepts are sound and based off this fact:
A 30ft diameter TRADITIONAL windmill will yield about 28watts per square ft of swept area (the swept area of a 30ft prop is 706.5 sq ft...divide maximum output of 20000 {20kw} by 706.5 sq ft and you have about 28 watts). However a 300ft diameter TRADITIONAL windmill will yield about 85 watts per square foot of swept area (6Mw or 6000000 divided by 70650 sq ft and you have about 85 watts per square ft). This triple output per square ft INCREASE is because of DIAMETER. It becomes more efficient for a number of reasons but essentially because it is so much bigger. Three times the energy from the same sq ft of wind by making it ten times the DIAMETER...
If we would have never made a traditional windmill with a diameter larger than 30ft, we would not have alternative energy from wind power at all, because it wouldn't make sense. There are factual studies out there that PROVE that vertical designs are more efficient than traditional windmills. The problem is, no one has made a vertical design capable of 70,650 square ft of swept area. No one has built a vertical design capable of 35,000 square ft... to my knowledge, a vertical design has NEVER been built that has exceeded 15,000 sq ft. of swept area.
This is an UNEXPLORED realm of science: a vertical design capable of LARGER than 70,650 sq ft of swept area that can be built for less than $1M...the prototype. Which means the production model will be about half that... I say his because I have a design capable of OVER 150,000sq ft. The design you see in the pics is Phase 1 and is the launching pad for Phase 2, a completely different patent and design but capable of 100 ft in diameter plus and with the patent pending baffles may be capable of as much as 250,000 sq ft of swept area. I need help, I am wiped out!
