Imagine What Could Get Accomplished

I watched with true amazement, the first time I saw T.Boone Picken's commercial on T.V. back in August. Here was someone finally coming forward with an Energy Plan that made a lot of sense. What struck me the most was, here was a billionaire oil man that's down to earth.
After listening to the Plan, I couldn't get the computer booted quick enough to join. Instead of whining about how I wanted someone to show me what to do or have somebody send me information, I dove right into checking out different Groups, gathering more and more information and over time learning a lot about alternative and renewable energy.
Two weeks later, I encountered some medical problems that would change my life significantly. There would not be much that I could do to help out because of it, so I took it upon myself to become a greeter after seeing a message that greeters were needed.
Since then, I have done my best to greet as much as possible and help out as much as I could when new people were asking questions. As I encountered different pages, I would find that more and more discussions were being driven away from the Plan and a tremendous amount of discussions/arguements/tirades over politics. More and more people were getting annoyed with all of the political interference.
Bottom line here...IF MORE DISCUSSION CENTERED AROUND PUSHING THE PICKENS PLAN ITSELF, JUST IMAGINE WHAT COULD GET ACCOMPLISHED INSTEAD OF ALL OF THE POLITICAL BICKERING!!!
