I would like to add one more reason to the basket of reasons that T Boone has already mentioned for moving forward with his energy ideas and plans: the huge amount of capital that is sucked out of this nation to pay for imported oil is a huge factor for increases in unemployment not to mention the sucking sounds of the security markets.

Do you remember the market manipulations of the much earlier Standard Oil Corporation? Lower your price and drive out your competitors, then raise your price and rob everyone!

So, gov't support of alternative energy sourcing and especially renewable energy development is justifiable provided it meets standards.
