Every little bit helps.

I have found that it is easy to help in a lot of ways that you may not think about. Like turning out that light when you leave the room or using less light if you can. Buy the energy saving lights and make sure that you keep your electric appliances off when not in use and just think about what you can do different to use less electricity. U do a lot of things while I'm typing like listen to the news but, now I try to do it on the same thing I'm using like now. I am listening to the news while I'm writing this on my laptop so I don't have the TV on so that helps. You would be surprised how much less you use until you get your next electricity bill. It will make a big difference if you really try to make an effort to use less.
I don't drive but I do get rides with other people. Since I have been thinking about how we need to get out from using oil and the Pickens Plan. I try to make it so that if I need to go somewhere I schedule it to be at the same time that the other person needs to go. As we all have to pay bills I have turned to doing it on the internet when I can as it is less expensive than driving all over town to pay them. There are those things that we have to go out for like to buy food. I used to buy as I needed it for the day. Now I have tried to make it so that I plan what I'm going to need for at least the week and as I go I'm going to try to do it month by month. It is all just a reprogramming of my habits. I don't know if you all think about this but I thought I might bring it up.
Also I have been saving cans and separating my trash. It seems that I was throwing away a lot of money that I didn't know about. I also try to give my time to help other people as much as I can and that is what I like about the Pickens Plan we all can do what we can at our own pace and make a difference. So I hope that in time I can be of service to this and the other things in my state that I can help to make a change in our country not just in my own life. So that is why I named this post every little bit helps. So if you can't do a lot of things just do some of the little things and it will help in the end. And I thank you all for caring enough to join in on a program I feel is the best way for our Country and the world to stop what we have done to harm the earth and try to change it for the better for our children and grandchildren.
