Let's get more of us Hooked Up" to the Grid! Sign the Petition!

We've started a PETITION to tell Congress and President Obama to allow more of us to hook up to the grid!

Here's how net metering works (for those of you who don't know) if you have your own alternative energy system say solar P.V. or a wind turbine, when you are interconnected with the grid (Hooked Up) when you are making power your electric meter is running slow, sometimes it even runs backwards and you are pushing power out into the electric grid for others to use, if your system is sized right you may not have any electric bill because you make as much energy as you use.

The problem with the net metering regulations in our country is that they are erratic, one state may have very liberal regulations requiring the utilities to allow a generous number of households to connect to the grid and in other states the requirement is non existent and the utilities do not have to allow it at all.

Our Petition asks President Obama and Congress to establish federal regulations to require utilities to allow 5% of the households they serve to interconnect to the grid, and to pay those private alternative energy system owners wholesale rates for any excess energy produced as a further incentive to installing a alternative energy system.
