Spent the weekend in Dallas and had an interesting time. Helped my brother move into his new place and helped him with some energy savings ideas for his home.

Got stuck behind a tractor-trailer rig carrying a wind turbine blade on I-35 South, but I really didn’t mind. Knocked my speed down a bit and saved me some fuel money. Also gave me time to think.
Here’s a possible public outreach project. I’d like to do this, but I would need a lot of help!
I call it the “Keep up the Pressure for the Pickens Plan!” project!
Organize a way to give away tire gages in exchange for e-mail addresses at local gas stations (preferably one with free air). Do this under the auspice of sending them a monthly email to remind them to use the damn thing, saving them fuel and tire replacement expenses.
Also in this monthly email include other energy savings / conservation ideas, with info on annual events (holidays, daylight savings time, etc), local events, home safety, Pickens Plan progress, group meetings and things they can do to help implement the Pickens Plans.
If the funding can be found, randomly pick one e-mail address per month for them to receive a $20 gas card from the station that allowed us to hand out the tire gages.
It will take a bit of organization and a bit of cash to buy the pressure gages, but the potential payoff should be fairly high.
Take this ball and run! Or drop me a line if you would like to help out to implement it in my area!
