making good from bad.

i hate to harp on it but high oil prices are opec's enemy. we use 14 million barrels a day for transportation. so the quickest and most effective way to cut our oil use is in transportation. hybrids do some good. but they can't go fast enough yet to really make a difference. the gas engine kicks in at 35 mph. mundane. now a totally electric car that could 60 and have any range at all might work. but we are not there for the masses. making electricity w/ solar, wind, and bio tech are great. biofuels being the best because it will create immediate relief against oil. now why do biofuels get such a bad wrap? you tell me. cause they burn? let me tell you people it isn't going to matter if we burn. what is going to kill us is deforestation. we can quit burning but if we keep cutting down all of our rain forests it isn't going to matter. there won't be anything left to replace any co2 emmisions even if our cars all green. now this is pretty black and white folks. you can inject all the grey you want. and if you want that grey area there is something wrong w/ you. that is the very root of the problem.
replacing oil is the key. anyway we can. we don't need high speed trains.[obama] just because russia and chine are doing it doesn't mean we should. he thinks we should be like them. well the american public better wake the hell up. go back in history study these obsured societies and tell me do you want to be like them. and all at the same time they want to be like us. we need to be americans again that is the key. we are over 90,000 strong. could you imagine 90k e-mails going to our congress, senate, and white house would do? for one that's 270k emails.[ that would be a movement] if we could organize instantanious e-mail to these 3 places telling our government to wake up it would make a difference. along w/ all the e-mails i'm sure they are getting already. we need to replace oil not electricity. yes it will be good to get it from nat gas because it's cleaner. but it doesn't reduce our oil consumption. and we have no way of saving electricity until electric cars catch up. about all the good all this electricity will do to get you to work tomorrow is if you were willing to prod yourself w/ it to jolt you along. if you think i'm gooffy laugh. but then again if you think i'm gooffy you better stop and think about it. only through direct decline in use and production of our own are we going to reduce our imports of oil. tthink about these ideals real hard.
