Rocky Mt. Hydrogen Drive - 2008 Clean Fuel Education Tour

Right now, the cost per mile by fuel type for my H2TOY, multi-fuel vehicle is:
$0.30 per mile on gasoline @ $5 per gallon if I chose to use it, which I have not for over 200,000miles & counting
$0.18 per mile on E85, getting 15miles on a $2.69 gallon, available in Denver, CO
$0.11 per mile on H2 @ $4.50 per kilo (1kilo of H2 = 1 gallon of gasoline, yet 39 miles per kilo!)
$0.032 yep that's right, 3.2 cents per mile on CNG. Must be because I live in Utah???

Heal The Snow and Intergalactic Hydrogen joined forces to represent all the cleaner fuels and distribute Kuhl clothes. We traveled 1902 miles round trip from SL, UT through Taho, Grass Valley, Yuba, Hopland, San Francisco, Incline Village and Reno. 92.295 g.g.e.'s of CNG and 28.956 gallons of E85 were used for a total of 121.25 gallons of fuel used and 2 gallons of biodiesel.

Teaming up on the transportation row @ Sol Fest, we displayed the H2TOY with- Electric Motor Sport, Yukia biofuels, David Blume, Toyota, Thunderstruck, Damon Knudson, and The North West AHA to name just a few.

Both of my public presentations on the road were captured in video. The Hydrogen and Clean Fuel Solution Revolution workshop in the Renewable Energy Tent with slide show presentation was standing room only. At Sierra Nevada College, the students first day of class started with my Fuel History review, followed by Multi-Fuel Unity, which basically is the state of the state of ALL the cleaner, safer, local fuels. Where they work, and how we empower individuals with multi-fuel vehicles that can utilize existing infrastructure all over the Nation, while creating the demand for more clean-fuel stations because of the obvious economic advantages. The entire chemistry class then had hands on experience with my truck, an electric scooter and a CNG refueling station.

We look forward to returning to Sierra Nevada College to complete the commissioning of their very own CNG dispenser and delivering their new NGV’s.

Until next time, drive clean & declare your energy independence.....

I am definitely in favor of the plan and will help as soon as I can. At present though I am trying to promote HURRICANE PREVENTION through my website:

www.superwindstorm.com

Please visit and help. I advocate nuclear power also. A baseball size fuel source will power a ship for many, many, many years. America has 83 nuclear ships and quite a few nuclear power plants. We also need T. Boon Pickens Plan for wind and natural gas.

Yes it better all around to avoid oil changes. Its a waste of time. Synthetic oils are simply better, last longer, and lubricate better. You save fuel by reducing friction in the engine and makes the engine last longer. Products like Amsoil give 24,000 miles per change as do there filters making the savings even better. However the oil dumped from oil changes is not wasted it is reused and in my area makes great heating oil. Do everything necessary to cut oil use. That includes electric and heating oil. Insulation is forever and saves big money....The list goes on, the problem is people have to stop talking about doing things and actually do them!

As Americans we know how to change our nation for the better. We must get to work and force our elected officials to work for the betterment of our nation and environment not for the lobbyists representing big oil. Before we can convert our vehicles to NG we have to have a place to refuel. I live close to a major interstate ( R 75) and there are no stations anywhere along that major highway running north and south that supplies NG. Our elected officials have to make it possible for us to switch to the alternative fuels now available. I watched a program on tv showing a chevy running on ethenol in Brazil ( who is not dependent on foriegn oil). A representative from GM was asked why in Brazil and not in the US and he said they are ready to produce the cars but there must be stations to fuel them. Our government is not setting the stage for our move from dependence on foreign oil. Why not??

In Norway the first Osmosis sea water to fresh water mixing plant went on line. A membrane of Polymer plastic allows water to pass thru. pressurizing one side, creating enought force to run a turbine to generate electriusity. This membrane was discovered at UCLA. in CA.USA and like all new ideas Was developed by the Israiles and the nordics. The Mighty mississippi may yet save us and New Orealens. I think the Pickens plan would work if all got on board. I was wondering how many service vehicles from Chesapeke is now using cng? How long will it take to install cng stations?

Hydrogen is actually very easy to separate from ordinary water:I did it hen just 12 years old, albeit in a coyntry where house electrical current was 220 volts DC. witout goinginto the mathematics: poster Anachronism did an excellent job of that side.I look to many benefits:1.the exhaust from hydrogen combustion is water steam which condenses into nearly pure distilled water, no carbon, no carbon compounds, no toxicity and many world areas need all the water the can get(do ask anyonwe in the Los angeles, CA fire department and farmers in the drought striccken California agricultural centers and in India. 2. equally important we would stop paying tribute tio the arab countries who keep trying to destroy us and when they go broke for lack of oil sales, they will come a begging just like president W Bush has been begging OPEC;, elliminating the need for coal and oil will in time clean up our polluted athmosphere and stop run-away global warming and as a bonus stop many respiratory diseases thus reducing our cost of healthcare. The benefits are many, the drawbacks few but it is not a short term solution as the oil companies have constructed a vast well performing oil based fuel distribution system and they're not about readyto give up: they will put their profit interests of their stockholders, their incredibly overpaid CEOs over any national or health considerations but, eventually they'll have to downsizeand be able ONLY to produce fuel for lanterns and camping stoves an even that only briefly/ The petro chemical industry will not vanish because they'll will continue to produve the toxic fertilizers, pesticides and fungicides they have brainwashed farmers into accepting despite the fact that animal manures are non toxic and safer to use. Finalythere is the huge bonus of new technologies meaning new industries and new jobs with good pay and I for one would advise the next president to engage T. oone pickens to head anew department of energy and ask him to formulate energy policies. Pickens is smart, has seen the light, kmows what we need and how to provide it. Hopefully thenextpresident will NOT be senator McLame whose mantra is "{Drill, Baby, drill'( an insanity!) NO, I am notna Democrat, I am a confirmed independent who in my time voted for Republican Barry Goldwater; somehow as a former military, I knew that LBJ knew nothing of the conductof warfare and would be an easy mark for the political generals and admirals of the Pentagon. As a former wartime general myself, I assure you that most these generals need war to elevatethmselves socially and , and of course financially. These wrmongers view peace as a ocial disease that reduces their standing turns them into white haired well dressed men with golden stars or crowns on their epaulettesflying from city to city to promote bellicose agendas on the speechifying circuit( there are exceptions of course but beware few are Dwight Eisenhauer opponents of the military/industrial complex(conspiracy being a better word!)Got money to invest? invest it in T NBoone Pickt's plan and in America's future and your own will also benefit!

I live near a corn ethanol facilitiy in Indiana. Local price today for e-85 is 3.19 vs 3.95 for gas. Corn is not poison to farm animals. Ethanol facilitys are loud and pollute the air. 30% of corn for 3% of nations fuel is a bad trade. Ethanol uses large amounts of electricity and natural gas to make their product. Have you heard of the connection between the increased use of pesticides for crops and the deaths of millions of honey bees? Thanks for your reply.

Richard, E85 is available for $2.69 in Denver where most of my ethanol comes from. 15 mpg on E85 = $0.179333333333333 cetns per mile. Choose local fuels first. If it is gasoline or diesel you must use, then get it from Sinclaire because it comes from Wyoming, or get it from Tesoro because that come from Alaska.

Then choose the cleaner fuels because they are less expensive. Local Ethanol ans Biodiesel are great as long as we realize how finite they are and use them accordingly. We need to break the liquid fuel addiction that was bestowed upon us though and fully embrace the most abundant bio-fuel, methane, in a gaseous form because it works today and all of the components we need for gaseous, CNG today, is the same components we need for higher pressure hydrogen to tighter tolerances in the future. It is the natural progression.

Today, Multi-Fuel vehicles work. They provide the consumer with the power to choose the least expensive fuel availabe no matter what region of the world you are visiting.

I use a few tanks full of E85 in my 1999 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 per year to avoid the purchase of any finite, toxic gasoline. Realisticaly, this is how much we can support by growing wast crops, or extracting teh sugar to brew fuel from corn and feed the leftover distilers grains to the cows and pigs which is more nutritionaly beneficial to them than feeding them straight corn, which is a poison to them with the suggar still in it.

There is a place for ethanol, along with biodiesel, propane, electric, methane and hydrogen. Invision the fuel heirchary pyrmid. Teh long string hydro carbon fuels susch as diesel, kerosene and JP8 at teh bottom are much more valuable to us to make durable goods from instead of burning, which puts them into a form we can no longer utiliize, which it poision for us to breath. Make durable goods with petroluem to create wealth for our economy instead of depleating wealth by burning it.

Choose a local fuel for the air quality benefits, the economic savings, the healthy planet, the strong Nation, whatever reason you choose, you are right. Do it for yourself first. Then, everything else around you will be better off.

I just bought a Lincoln Mark 8 & I was advised to use Mobile Synthetic oil. It would make my engine last longer, which only had 38000 miles when I bought it. this will be a substanual savings for me.

I am so impressed by Mr. Pickens. I know he gained his fortune through oil but still sees to it that he is doing all he is able to make this nation energy independent. I was completely in awe of someone finally really putting our country first. It is refreshing in this age of 30 second sounds bites from candidates SAYING they put country first but doing quite the opposite. Getting off oil is not only good for our pocketbooks it is vital for the safety and security of our land. I only wish it had been done sooner but thank Mr. Pickens for what he is able to do today. His voice for clean energy means a great deal. I have not read nor know much about clean energy but after signing up on this site I will begin to become informed. Thanks T. Boone for crying out in the wilderness. You have the authority and the power to do so!
