Another Earth Day, and We've STILL Got Climate Change, and We're STILL Without a viable, safe, and sustainable National Energy Plan

and how fitting that Japanese tsunami debris washes up on U.S. shores yesterday.  So symbolic.  Japan's outmoded/outdated fission-based nuclear reactors at Fukushima (Westinghouse boiling water nuclear reactor stuff) go tits up, contaminate (and continue to do so) the Earth's atmosphere and the Pacific Ocean with radioactive material, and these two balls from Japan show up on U.S. shores....like "the balls in our court" or something! What's our energy game plan now?  And don't tell me it's more coal, fission nuclear, petroleum and natural gas.  The next nuclear power plant failure-disaster is very likely going to occur here in the States.  Have we again hit the snooze button until THAT wake-up call?

The genie is out of the bottle and cannot be put back in...EVER! Were it up to me, I'd say abandon nuclear power, I wish it had never been discovered in the first place. The electrical power it yields is not worth the price we pay now - or the ultimate price we could very well pay in the future. Chernobyl.... the reactor is STILL melting down. Unbelievable!!!
