PickensPlan

During the Stimulus Package debate, we made a huge impact. In fact, I wrote about how the phone lines in D.C. were tied up. It's sad to say that many times Congress doesn't take note until enough people a calling about a particular issue.

Last time, we failed to convince half of the House and half of the Senate to go along, but they are shaking in their boots now - thinking about re-election. The other half that voted to try and help America recover were re-assured by our messages.

Here's another opportunity to reinforce our message. Boone is asking for your support to remind Congress that there's another part of the Plan that should be implemented. Without action we're left with another failed attempt by Congress to do "everything" to fix a problem. We all know that putting out half of a fire in a burning building does practically nothing to save it. So join me in telling Congress to support transportation alternatives to foreign oil.

Let's March on Washington - Virtually.

I'm trying to do some "cross pollination" with other groups. I sent Virtual March on Washington messages to Yahoo groups for renewable energy and energy conservation. Also replied to an e-mail from Howard Dean at Democracy For America by sending an invitation to join the Virtual March.

Sounds Great we are here ready willing and able. We need to focus on a true solution and remember the foundationof the plan. Stop dependence on foreign fuel sources. This is not just pushing alternate fuels, put also pushing the reinvestment and maintenance of our critical public transportation infrastructure. We need more support of mass transit and tax benefits to individuals who use public transportation. How about subsidizing low income and seniors by adding a dime to each of our tickets, what about mandates for car free days for metropolitan areas. The scope is boundless

Cool. Mike, I'm not in that business, so I have no idea. I'm sure you can find willing real estate agents across the U.S. who want to do business with you. Also, I think the Plan will make links available for sending messages, as they have in the past.

Thanks guys. Let's get something done!
