Smart Grid, "whats that going to cost"?

The new Grid, the 'Smart Grid' must combine existing systems of delivering power, control and communications.
Integrating the logic and power delivery system jointly. And, delivered to the customer as a 'package'.

The added value of 'Broadband over AC' and the control that it provides is a major reason to justify New vs. grid Upgrades.
We learned this lesson with Cars and PC's, didn't we?

Who would not like the ability to turn on the outside house light as you drive home.
Or, receiving a call that someone is at your front door. or a fire has been detected?
At what cost though?
Most people are unable let a lone unwilling to pay any more. Even with extra features.

However, if you can run the numbers and show (prove) people that the Smart Grid will save them money.
Everybody will be for it.
