In the USA, governments owe $1 trillion to pensions while companies average 78% of pension funding. We must solve the Social Security and pension deficiency issues by giving the USA a new competitive advantage. An example, the USA could open its borders importing people to solve some of these problems or allow pension funds to fund research and development of energy efficiency. And because today the USA has 1.3 the normal housing units per capita improving housing efficiency is a must. You must end conventional IRA's before the 2016 deadline which forces people 70.5 to take distributions that can cause a new depression. We need new taxes like a pollution surcharge, a national sales tax of 2%, and a fat tax of 4% could reduce the IRS by half, reduce fuel consumption by half, and reduce health costs significantly.

Over the next 10 years, the dollar will decline to half its current value as the energy depression continues and we keep spending dollars to buy oil. GDP at $14 could reach $26 Trillion annually. Exports at $1.3 will continue to increase to $2.44 Trillion creating new manufacturing jobs, push for for deleveraging, re-regulation, and deglobalization. Make imports fair to bring them down to $1.45 Trillion, by helping the USA implements conservation, add to domestic fuels and renewable energy, new taxes and new manufacturing. Commodities in general (metals and fuels) will have scarcity crises repeatedly, i.e. the world needs 14 terawatts of new electrical production; therefore reduce rebates on PV. Remember gas price could swell to $7.50 per gallon, but only obsolete cars will use it.

We need a new stimulus package: Repair our stuff, help governments buy zero emission cars, get the Defense Department to fund road repairs and we need upgrades on our water plants. Superconductors having the biggest potential to improve our lives need research money. Put a new NAFTA to help Amtrak build a high speed route from Mexico City to Anchorage, Alaska, starting with Los Angles to Stockton. And please help fund PEM fuel cells as they can last 50 years and make them more like a battery that I can take from one car to another.
