It was nice to see on a trip to Black Mesa yesterday all of the wind towers West of Waynoka, South of Buffalo, and around Laverne now operating. On the way home seemed like the sky was filled with the flashing red lights of the towers. It is becoming increasing apparent in Western Oklahoma District 3 and Southern Kansas this area has imbraced wind energy.

Where to put wind farfs? Nimby Is a term heard all to often. OK,The feferal government already owns property in every state that is costing them maintainance and is doing nothing to help pay for it's upkeep. The property I refer to is the median between the oposing lanes of every interstate highway in the country. Some of the complaints about building wind farms,are(1) the need to build a maintainance road to the sites, other than a short driveway, how much better road would you need.(2)The need to build many miles of transmission lines to hook up to the grid. Major power lines cross the interstate highway systems all the time. The wind farms could radiate FROM those hi-line crossings. From another angle Electric cars are supposed to be range restricted, right? How about set the electrics up to inductivly charge while driving past one of these interstate wind farms then run off that charge till it comes to the next wind farm in lets say 50 to 100 miles.
There are a few ideas, Of which you probably already have more than enough, See what you can do with them, you are welcome to them.
