Mr. Pickens,
If you weren't aware of it, there is an event scheduled in recognition of your leadership and contribution to America's energy awareness. The link to it is at: http://push.pickensplan.com/xn/detail/2187034:Event:2068329. Please accept my personal appreciation and thanks to you for attempting to get our nation off center and moving to Energy Independence.

Hi Mr. Pickens. I was wondering if you know of a company that I could get a large wind turbine from, in the Michigan area? Any help would be wonderful.
Build Baby Build, long-time supporters of the Pickens Plan and promoters of the Virtual March on Washington, is promoting a week-long event series from May 30, 2009 – June 6, 2009 called ‘Build Baby Build Week, support your local renewable energy project’. The goal is to provide a framework for organizers and supporters of wind, solar, recycling, or other ‘green’ project to come together for back yard parties, meetings at the town square or city hall, or even a visit to a proposed project site to give a visible demonstration of support for projects that will make an impact within your own community. Similar to the Virtual March on Washington in its purpose, the BBB Week events are designed to give people a local forum for expressing thier support for projects being built within thier own community. We worked hard to help make the Virtual March a success, along with the many other dedicated leaders, organizers, and members of the Army - I hope you will join our effort to take the message to cities and towns across America.

Have you been staying awake at night trying to figure out why we have so many questions and so few answers? How can we have so many intelligent people that understand the problems we face, but can't reach their solutions.
Could their be a "silver bullet" to end this recession?
I think the solution is quite simple. In order to fix this economy, we have to increase spending. How can we do that with our home equity shrinking, Limited credit markets, compiling consumer credit card debt, and the worst savings rate in modern history?
We need to create a new way to borrow money from our future that will have a guaranteed return on investment. The best solution that I have found was the reduction of energy usage. The economic payback period is relatively short and the ecological payback is priceless.
What if we were to loan out the pile of money our energy suppliers are hoarding for future development and get the money into the hands of the people that need the help? We could offer loans to all energy customers based on how they pay their gas, electric and water bills. Based on what we know about energy savings, we would not have to increase their current monthly bills. We could establish a base rate over the past 12-24 months. Use their projected savings differential to estimate the payback period of the loan. Let's see an example.
A family adds a geothermal furnace at a cost of $9500. The current average yearly heating bill is around $2000 per year and the electric is around $1500 per year. So if we were to play it safe and say they would save 50% on each or a total of $1750 per year. They would have about a 6 year payback with a low interest rate. If they have a very good payment history, we may let them expand to a tank less water heater, appliances, upgrade their insulation, install new windows or doors, solar panels, and wind turbines. The payback could be even shorter with rebates and tax incentives. We would not increase their current monthly budget. We we only use the savings for the payback. Everyone benefits.
By providing this service to all energy consumers we will be able to fix so many problems with our current economy. We would tie all of the lose ends together and get this economy moving in the right direction. We would make the funds available to the families with the greatest needs that have been unable to change their wasteful ways. What could be better that pure job creation? Think about all of the new fields of employment we could create. We would employ millions.
Even better, we get started on the energy problem today. We reduce the consumption of the average household and free up our natural resources for the future of natural gas powered semi's. Thus reducing the amount of foreign oil we import and keeping American dollars in America.
Let me know if you are interested in hearing more from me, Bob Maxwell from Ohio. www.econenergy4u.com
Mr. Pickens, I'm the President of the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City American Advertising Federation in Iowa. I would like to arrange for you to come to Cedar Rapids Iowa (the largest wind energy state other than Texas) next fall. We hold a premier speaker event each year and we have chosen you. I will work around your schedule and will be willing to pay your expenses. We have two wind energy manufactures in the Cedar Rapids area and a wind blade manufacture close by. Iowa needs to stay in the lead with wind energy and you coming to CR could energize the public and our state officials to keep Iowa as a wind leader. Please let me know how we can make this happen. I respecfully wait your reply.

Mr. Pickens,
I'm caught in the middle of an anti-wind campaign in the small rural community of Smelser Township in Southwest Wisconsin. Does your organization offer any grass roots assistance through legal resources or expertise to assist small public groups like ours as we work to defend against those working to restrict siting? I've created a local information site to try and get out the real message about the $1,000,000 a year impact the project would have on our local economy. www.smelsertownship.com
Thanks for leading the fight for renewables!
I put this together from a lead out of Your "Oil Update" viedo today, and sent out to 180+ Hawaii Volunteers.
Keep pouring out the info, you never know what can be just the right thing for us in the field.
