Hi Jack..........Always good to hear from you and get your input. Yes, Germany is way ahead of us and like you say for a good 10+ years now. Are you familiar with Hermann Scheer of Germany who is the primary mover behind their Feed-In Tariff system??? He has some outstanding books and has been a big proponent of renewable energy since 1980. My wife and I have lived in Germany and Europe for the month of September for the past 3 years. Driving through Bavaria in 2006 really blew my mind seeing all the solar and wind installations. I have been extensively reading about it since that that trip. Are you familiar with Freiburg, Germany - The Solar Village??? If not, see: www.thesolarvillage.com and watch the video in the upper left hand corner starting with "chapter 3"..........>>>>Lee

Here's required viewing for our education about CLEAN ENERGY. Wouldn't this make interesting viewing in a science or physics class room from 5th grade up? Think about the practical examples we could produce right in the class room. No more complicated then a Tea Pot and hamster wheel.

Jim Muhaw and I want to thank all of the District Leaders from NJ-11 for attending Wednesday evening’s tele-conf call. We had almost 100% attendance across the State and two RL's on the call. Micha Lauer, RL from Idaho, and Geoff Bailey, RL from Texas. The meeting was spirited and productive.

Our focus was a Town Hall meeting for later this year with Boone in attendance along with local business, utilities and political reps. It's possible the event will be held at a University i.e., Rutgers, Princeton, etc. and may include a TV & web based simulcast.

The event is far from "in the can" at this stage...but we wanted to share the possibilities with the DL's at this site. Expanding your network and sphere of influence is as far reaching as your imagination. We are so proud of the enthusiasm and professionalism of every participant on the call. It was a contagious moment which lasted for an hour and 47 minutes.

We'll keep you posted with the results as the planning goes forward. Hopefully it will provide encouragement for all DL's in their relative districts to reach out further and wider then they believed they could. We are all in this moment together. I can tell you it's been a long time coming. This period in history will be remembered as a time of significant change, our politics, our culture and hopefully our behavior toward the environment and the quality of life and safety of our grandchildren’s, grandchildren.

The thanks are to every person in these rooms; volunteering their time, hearts and wisdom toward a better future. The more we hear and see happening in this space and elsewhere, the deeper our belief that it can and will happen...it must!

Thanks to all...

Hi Jack,.... Thank you for so quickly contacting me, and thanks for the music video, I enjoyed it and would show it to any children. However, I have only nephews, and their children(they are too young yet) Being a baby-boomer myself, I was wondering if I could help in some other way? I am much more active then most my age and would like to help with any building of housing or other physical work. I have experience. I want to help.
Thank you for answering, I know you must be busy.

Hi Jack: Regarding tomorrow's conference call, this seems like a silly question but have you heard from Sashe Annete, the co-DL for NJ-04? She seems to be "out of the loop" as I have not heard from her in weeks (months?). Perhaps this movement is too much of a commitment for her.
Regards.

On March 11th at 7PM a combined 17 members of New Jersey District leaders, Regional Leaders and PP consultants will join a confernece call to discuss topics ranging from Recruitment to a Statewide townhall meeting.

We would like to suggest that other states gather their DL's together to meet in this way to support their common objecitves. Virtually all NJ DL's have signed on to the meeting as well as a follow-up face to face site meeting on March 29th in the Trenton area.

For information on this meeting, how to set up a conference call, etc., please don't hesitate to message our profile page...or drop a note to my personal eMail at:

timbersRus@comcast.net.

We'll post the results of this and the subsequent site meeting.

Howdy Jack-The smoke should be rising from the bridges we ignite today.....partisan ones and greedy ones and biased ones that believe their road is the only way. That smoke should be signal enough but how can the blind see ? We're all just feeling the way by touch and instinct, so I hope Obama Is half as good a guide dog as he is at spending the wampum.I'll keep ya posted on the play-by-play from here in Westhanen. Jack, I assure you this: You WILL SEE college campuses in action! If its only a plane ticket that prevents you from experiencing this event, allow me to offer some resolutions to this issue....

Hello Jack,

In addition to reaching out and recruiting new and current members of our respective districts/regions, I'd like to invite Picken's Plan members to Palomar College, San Marcos,CA on April 22nd, 2009 (Earth Day) for an environmentally themed event. At this event, I would like to organize a body of Picken's Plan, clean & green driven members dedicated to District 49 and surroundiong areas. For 33,000+ students, this will be the first of many events taking place in district 49 that I can personally assure our members.

Anyone interested? I would be able to provide AT LEAST one booth (table, chairs, and possibly canopy) so we can provide information, as well as representation for the Picken's Plan for sustainable and environmentally efficient energy alternatives. I can be contacted at either my Picken's Plan page or at tellesaj2@yahoo.com.

Thank you for your committment to a brighter and cleaner future!

Oh Jack

I am soooo not good at this stuff. The last time I was invited to a group, I discovered it by accident.... I think at the top right of the page. Ask Clynton if you can not find it. I know that I have sent it at least 3 times!
