Hi Kim - we're all working hard to spread the word. As a Realtor - I send out tons of emails on a regular basis. I recently had a wonderful idea that I am now using with each email I send. Contact me at suzylee2@gmail.com and I will show you what I mean.

Hi Kim,
I've sent a note to Technical Support. For some reason folks here can join the plan, but don't show up in the District - 12 group when they join that. So we don't know how many have joined in our district. I have a staff of 50 here at AEP and many of them have joined, but don't show up. Still working on it. Since AEP is such a big sponsor, I'm going to do some kind of membership drive in the building lobby soon, and we'll see if that can drive up the numbers.

Dear Kim,

I'm at about 40 signups. I'm still registering some of them. Thanks for the offer of help. I'll be sure to use you if I need it! By the way, fantastic work or your part. You give a whole new meaning to the phrase "lead by example"! I'm sure your name will come up today at our NJDL meeting in Trenton. Keep up the good work.

Kim,
Just got out of the hospital last Thursday, but did make it to the college today for sign ups. Got a vistor parking pass for a month, and the main building to canvass in. Also got up a dozen posters for Earth Day On The Mountain, Lake Arrowhead, April 18, where will have a recruiting booth. Got a few sign ups and will be going back to the college in the am and hope I can get to 100 by evening. Thank you for all your motivation, and inspiration. This ole dog may be slow, but he can still hunt.

Kim I Posted this with many of the RI Districts Members. and am continuing that pursuit.

This e-mail ( the template which you provided) got me a better response. I signed up at least 10-12.
I have been using the upload signups under resources and just added the info.
I did not sign them up as a district member.
Do you get that information?

The letter below helped me recruit more Members. I emailed it to co workers and friends and agot a good response. You may use it as a template.
Then you click on Resources up on the Menu. Scroll down to upload sign ups and the rest is easy.

RI may be the first state in the nation to have Off shore Wind Turbines to produce Eelctricity
1000 new jobs will be created in RI with the company that will be installing the turbines

Can I please submit your name as a supporter of the Pickens Plan? We are trying to gather over 1,000 new supporters from RI before April 1st. I am available to answer any questions you may have.
If other friends or family members support it, will you please include their info as well.

I only need Name, Zip Code and email.

Here is the plan if you would like to see a short video
www.pickensplan.com Please stop by my page and say "hi" http://push.pickensplan.com/profile/EarleUScharffIII

The Pickens plan is simple and do able. At current gas prices we
spend over 400 billion a year (that we borrow from China) on foreign oil.
(when it was higher, the number was 700 billion, it will be there again
soon enough)
Picken's plan is to:
1. Use American technology and renewable solutions for electricity.
Wind, solar, geothermal, hydro, etc.
2. Use CNG (natural gas) for transportation fuel, especially
trucks, buses and municipal vehicles- almost 40% of our needs as a
country. Batteries currently can not move 18 wheelers. CNG is cleaner and
less expensive than foreign oil, and it is ours!
3. Boone is an "all of the above" guy, as long as it is an American
solution, and the money stays in this country.

I am working with a national effort to gather millions of
supporters to insure that Congress supports our efforts to finally get
this country to be energy independant. Brazil has done it....why can't
we? Cheap oil has gotten us here, but we must finally end it. Our economy
and national security depend upon it.

We could become net exporters of renewable energies and ride this
horse out of the economic trough we are in. We have a very limited time to
make this work. Call it a perfect storm, organized by a titan of
commerce who is leading this historical effort to make sure we get this
right.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Best
Earle

I've heard your event went really well. EXCELLENT! Is there video posted? Our tele-conf call was productive, fun and very well attended. Almost 100% of NJDL's and two RL's. It's a great group. Very motivated. I'm glad your event was good. Would love to hear/see more about it.

Kim: Best of luck and good wishes, hoping that you have a monstrous turnout.

However, if you have a small turnout, then those who are committed to the Plan needed to be there, and were.
