Remember when Sen Sessions (from my state of Alabama) blasted Senator Reid and Rep Pelosi for stripping E-Verify from the stimulus bill? Sen Sessions introduced a bill to vote on E-Verify directly. Senator Reid has been blocking it but today members of www.NUMBERSUSA.com called in such numbers that Reid has decided to allow the vote on Sessions bill. If you want green jobs to go to Americans, call your Senator and demand their support for 5 yr extension of E-Verify.

P.S. You asked me to post this on a new "ning" network but I have decided to concentrate my energy efforts in the PickensPlan site. It is more convenient for me that way since I don't have to remember where I post things and I don't have to go far to follow various groups.

Coal emission scrubber: Using plasma to break the compounds in coal emissions, releasing solids, and the gases reform as Nitrous Oxide and Ozone. These gases are used to increase coal efficiency. (while there are nano-tube filters that bind CO2, they do not capture sulfer, mercury, or other pollutants. Whereas: my tech can!)

I have more and will post them. People need to remember what we are going for - not only alternate fuel but also being able to save our country.
My brother and sister - not rich themselves but well off - she is - have about 800 acres - most the family farm but a few they bought.
After this mess started my sister called her (whatever he is called) when the first huge drop in the market occurred. She asked how much she had lost. You don't want to know he replied. Fortunately she is not a person who scares easily. To the best of my knowledge she hasn't touched it.
I saw a film of people in front of a bank. I think they said it was in another country. It looks like things are getting bad.
The people - congressmen etc who have been interviewed on tv all or most seem to say i hope it will work. a car company is already going to ask for a few more billion.
I hope jobs are found and I am writing my congressmen and am starting to write state reps/senators.
I hope the money that has been approved for alternate energy will be used wisely and not just for a committee to see how feasible it is.
They say This is the worst this country has been since the depression. It looks like it is a depression,. I never paid attention to jobless rates - it was just a figure but now it is scary. I have a friend in Neb and her husband still has his job but only working 39 hours. Some companies keep people on but cut their hours so they don't have to fire anyone.

Gratefully, I long ago realized i have no singing voice so I work on more guitar frills and once in a while when the house is empty I sing for my own discomfort! LOL.

Back then I was a radio mechanic/operator. now they call us the "CO's bitch". At least I had the fortune to be on duty the night Nixon resigned, I took down his picture and replaced it with Ford's pic. and took Nixon's pic to my room. Still have it somewhere.
