Windspire will be featured on a special episode of ABC's "20/20" on June 19th at 10/9C. The episode highlights the impact the new Windspire manufacturing facility is having in Michigan by putting ex-autoworkers back to work.

Good Day Friends,

First and foremost I would like to thank each and every one of you for supporting a plan that will change America's Economy, the “PickensPlan”. As Hispanics sometimes we are not involved with what's happening in our country’s economy for several reasons, one can be fear of not understanding correctly our National Language “English”, another can be lack of promotional Hispanic literature. But for those of us that are fluent in both the English and Spanish languages it is our duty to help those in need. Why not stand up and help our fellow Hispanics, so that in return they can support our goals.

My question to you is “What are You Going to Do?”
Please join me in the “Hispanics for Alternative Energy” group.

Sincerely,

Abdiel Mercado

Hi Conrad,

I have some interest, but I can't really take sponsors until we have all the incorporation and tax paperwork in. We are working at it.

Hi Conrad,

I was curious what you thought of the plan. Can you help us get sponsors once we finish the incorporation?

I am looking for micro wind companies with a track record ( not easy to find ) that I can invest in, any leads would be greatly appreciated.
I have found one in N. Dakota
Promana ticker PSLU did a reverse split and its assets were taken over via a merger by Crownbutte Wind Power on July 31st 2008, Crownbutte board replaced Promana board July 31st 2008
Crownbutte completed a private placement Aug 1st 2008 to build, own
and operate an approved 200 megawatt wind project with 134 turbines in
southwestern North Dakota estimated cost to build $30,000,000.
Project value upon completion and before tax credits is $50,000,000.
CBWP has been consulting for and building wind power farms in North
Dakota since 1999.
Crownbutte Wind Power
111 5th Ave NE
Mandan, ND 58554
www.crownbutte.com
Stock in new entity is available ticker CBWP now.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hi Conrad, I just read your post in the leaders section and I could not agree more. We should not begrudge profitmaking, we should encourage it. I think sometimes people forget the benefits of capitalism. That being said, we know not all companies do a good job at self regulation. $, Power, Industry, Energy, etc. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Thank god for Clint Eastwood, lol, or should we say T. Boone? About 15 yrs ago in Brazil the government mandated ethanol(from sugar cane, not corn...much better) vehicles be built. With a bad harvest they experienced huge shortages so the govt. stepped in again to make sure auto manuf. installed flex systems which allows the fuel system in the vehicle to determine if gas or ethanol is being used. It works very well and Brazil has illimated reliance on foreign oil completely.

I hope to help with the Pickens Plan in anyway. It is very encouraging to see a big time player step up, no matter what his incentives are. And to you, keep up the good work!

Hi Conrad,

Well as soon as we get all of the incorporation and 501 paperwork done, we will begin to solicit sponsors. Right now, we are operating on a shoe string. I gave up my consulting work to pursue my first passion, education. I am now a teacher and that means a teacher's salary. I'm not complaining, I chose it. But it means I am going to need motivated partners to see this through.

Conrad,
I have nothing against companies making an honest buck. When I say honest I mean fair and square with no lobbyist making backroom deals with politician to give them favor over others. In your example of the VP working for micky d's, well did you realize that over 60 % of the farm subsidies in this country go to the meat and dairy industry? Is that fair to the farmer who grows the fruit you eat? Most meat and dairy farms are arms of giant multi national conglomerations. Small farms are almost extinct. Due largely to the manipulation of the farm bills to funnel money to these corporations. Not a fair playing field by any standard.

So when you ask what is wrong with making money? NOTHING. It is what makes America great, but lets be fair about it.
As for Oil and NG. I agree, they are important but they are limited resources. And as thus, we need to be very deliberate about how we spend them. Think about 4 or 7 generations down the road. They deserve their fair share of this wonderful resource.
Since a huge part of the chemical industry is based on pertro products, burning them in a car to run to the store for milk is one of the worst ways in the world to use such precious resources. Does this make since to you?

Feel free to look at what I would set as the priorities of the use of this resource. Call me crazy but I am just looking at the future, not just the profit.

It`s people like yourself that actually helped the U.S.A. win World War 2 due to "wildcat" drilling. Thanks for all that you do. Info: I make my living building natural gas compressor stations. I recently worked on a station in Wyoming on the "Rockies Express West" which when completed will run from northwest Colorado to New Jersey [Rockies Express East]. It will be the largest Natural Gas pipeline located in the lower 48 states. I am currently working on a station in north Texas in the "Barnett Shale" natural gas play. I wish you luck on all of your future holes.
