Harvest Time

Every seed takes time to germinate.
So too in the fields of the soul.
We must never give up and sow
because the results do not
immediate to our eyes.
Let us wait with patience.
In the right moment, the seeds
have driven in the soil of hearts,
there will produce mature fruit.
Understanding and sow Joy, Peace and
Courage, Forgiveness and Love.
Jesus bless you have a good night.

Thanks for the reply.
I wasn't thinking of it as an investment but a contribution for making a wind farm bigger.

Hi, good to hear about the panel cost.
I heard the Pickens plan for a new wind farm is on hold for various reasons.
It may be delayed for 2 or more years. There are existing wind farms.
I thought the members of Pickens plan could contribute to building one more
wind turbine/tower to add to an existing wind farm.

Liked your idea about the bond. I think peloisy (?) is a lost cause. It's probably up to us.
Haven't been able to get a response from the pickens team on an idea. Maybe you have some pull some where. Assuming the new wind farm is on hold, why not setup a fund to add a windmill to an existing wind farm ? I would contribute to it. My original reason for joining was to increase the use of wind energy.

Michael, As an ex AF pilot, please accept my gratitude for your service. I do not sign into Pickens Plan often because the activity level has subsided, but I am interested in reducing our imported oil. My suggestion is towards an immediate action to encourage energy saving vehicles to be produced in AZ where the sun shines all the time and there is plenty of places to build. I am not actively raising funds yet, but I do see a point where I will to build a manufacturing facility to produce a hybrid vehicle that gets over 200 mpg, and costs about $30K. Interested in helping? Would prefer regular email since I rarely sign into Pickens Plan. Thanks, Dave daharmon2006@cox.net

Hi Michael :

I had an employee by the name of Raymond Juarez ( part Cherokee ) . He is a retired Navy Chief , an electronics technician like yourself . The best damn employee I have ever had in my 47+ years of business. He was installing tubular skylights for me . He left to attend tech school in Las Vegas under his G.I. Bill benefits .

You Navy fellas sure like your beer , huh ?

Aloha Michael,
Check out S.672 (Rural Communitiy Renewable Energy Bond Act 2007) 110 Congress, Sponsor Salazar, Cosponsor Smith & Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Hawaii has a signed the Hawaii Clean Energy Initiative (HCEI) the key element in HCEI is an electricity grid linking the Islands.
However each Island has a seperate electric utility, and none of these private companies wants to: be tied to anyother utility, get off imported oil, overbuild wind, solar,OTEC wave, znd geothermal in order to produce Hydrogen to make the State enerty and economically independent!
DON'T GIVE UP! we need your Bond program as much now as the country did during WWII when I was starting school and bought one $0.10 stamp per week.

America needs a comprehensive energy plan and we are looking to our leaders in Washington to help provide one.

To make this work, we have to move in three areas.
Part 1: Electric Grid
Part 2: National Renewable Electricity Standard
Part 3: Green Bank - I am against this one as it is drafted today

Part one is legislation that will establish a national electric transmission grid. Giving FERC same authority as it has for siting gas lines.

Part two is an achievable national Renewable Electricity Standard (RES) that would include tradable renewable energy credits as part of the transmission and grid effort. A national RES should be phased in as transmission becomes available to bring power from renewable sources to multi-state regions. Having the government do this makes it easier for generators and power companies. I would expect they should include urban generators in the mix, not merely commercial generators.

Oklahoma does not currently have an RES, we need one. But we dont need a federal agency dictating the rate a generator can sell at. Example, Oklahoma could make the energy cheaper in state than out of state. The constitution set governance of State production under the states, not the federal government.

Part three is an Energy Bank. Congressman Chris Van Hollen has introduced the Green Bank Act of 2009 as of March 25, 2009. This is not the Energy Bonds we strategized at Pickens Plan. This is the creation of a Bank wholly owned by the US Government, funded at 10 billion. The Board of Directors are the Presidents cabinet members. Loans can be made to any energy method that reduces C02, this would include "Clean Coal", Nuclear, new generation Bio Fuels, new methods of processing petroleum. These are not renewable energy. Once this bank is established, the government will have set a precedent for nationalizing banks.

The American people are looking for leadership in making a long-term commitment to renewable energy.

Kindest Regards

Hi Michael!

I just started a group called "Letters From Washington". I thought that would be a good place where everyone could upload the letters, emails, replies that you all receive from our politicians. Check it out and add to it if you have received any replies from your elected officials.

http://push.pickensplan.com/group/lettersfromwashington

Spread the word and ask everyone to cut/paste or upload the letters and emails they receive from their elected officials!

I am passing along your Energy Savings Bond idea to our Mayor in Duluth and to Congressman Oberstar. Awesome project!

Mr. Daniels / Governor Huntsman

In your recent reply to Michael Shawn Kendall, ETC USN, regarding his concept for Energy Savings Bonds you said…

“As time goes on we may be called upon for an innovative idea to generate resources for energy independence projects. When that happens we will bring up your idea and hopefully will be able to give you credit for generating the idea. Once again, thank you for your idea and in addition, thank you for spending your time in uniform as a member of our Armed Forces. Governor Huntsman and all of us appreciate your courage and commitment to our national goals.”

I must admit that as one of thousands of supporters for Kendall’s Energy Bond concept, your reply was simultaneously encouraging and perplexing. It was encouraging for your willingness to review this sensible and easy to accomplish concept…and perplexing because of your comment above. We believe that If there was a time for “innovative ideas to generate resources for energy independence projects” that time was 35 years ago during the 1973 OPEC embargo; which had Americans waiting on line for hours to buy a few gallons of gas. To propose that the time is still not here is disheartening and confusing beyond description to those of us who waited on those lines; and understood perhaps for the first time that our lives were not in our own control.

Since that time we have engaged in three wars in the Middle East; arguably connected to oil and our lack of government policy, direction and imperative to achieve our independence from the supply of this resource, from those who do not share common interests with Americans who provide a large share of the wealth they enjoy. Two of these wars continue at great expense to the lives of our children who have been tasked with fighting it. At this writing 4260 deaths in Iraq, 667 in Afghanistan, 31,000 wounded and 1.3 million collateral deaths in country. Do we believe that’s enough? And we haven’t mentioned the consequences to the environment, the economy, and the quality of life and safety of our children and the health of our planet!

If now is not the right time for…innovative ideas to generate resources for energy independence projects…we are left to wonder…when will be a better time? At my age, I’m wondering for the first time…if we’ll run out of time.

Kendall’s Energy Bond idea is a traditional American solution on a silver platter. He’s handing it to you. Take it!

Hello,
I would be honored to serve as a leader in my community. After the past two years, I have learned how import it is to involve myself in our community and world affairs. We might not all agree on one path, however, we must agree to get involve and move forward. I am proud of my fellow Americans who step up and show out to serve. What ever I can do to move our community and our nation. I do not have all of the answers, however, I am willing to listen, learn and work hard. Thank you Mellissa
