Thanks Leslie, as an "input" to the powers that be I wish this web site made it more easily attainable for joiners to gain access to there representatives so they may contact them directly. The site seems to drop off after joining and viewing; It leaves little direction for direct contact which is probablly the best way to attain change. Thought you might want to foward this so maybe that can be changed so we can help win this fight.

Thanks Leslie,

We are very happy to have Congressman Calvert as our first Congressional signer in California. Hopefully will have some more of our elected officials sign in the near future. We have a lot of work to do here in California, and need all the support we can get. Please ask your people to call in to a Conversation with T. Boone Pickens, Wednesday, July 1, 2009, 11:00 am PST. To comment or listen, call 347-637-3101. We are hoping to have some California Elected Officials call in. Details are listed under events.

Thanks again,
John Wesley

Hi Leslie, Coast to Coast AM is a radio program. It starts at 10:00 PM west coast time. You can find it at www.coasttocoastam.com. They have the list of radio affiliates and what programs are scheduled during the week as well as a review of the previous night's show.

Hi, I'm on my own network, www.thetruckstar.com, the links are there, the site is being programmed as we speak for extremely high traffic, a live chat, live vid feed alert sign up , social media interaction and a lot of other stuff, and is home to my blog read by 100,000 people a week(it's featured on many other high traffic sites too) I am developing shows for several of the top trucking asites and others too. You can tune in to the stream by clicking on the links there and using my flash player or your owm media player, I also do a supplemental ustream vid feed and can be reached thru SKype at "the truckstar live", follow me on twitter as @danielaudet and you'll get my "live" show alerts, as sometimes I do live shows from the road. I, in fact, did the world's first "live" web radio broadcast from a laptop a few months ago, a still do the only all live mobile trucker web radio show, my blogsite will be a first of it's kind with all the media app's on the landing page. Anyway that's all well and good but as far as content I would love to have a reg. input from people to "update" the listeners on the who what where and when of important environmental issues, Pickens Plan being one of the top ones.(sorry about the long response) Daniel

Thank you Leslie for welcoming me. Bear with me. I don't know how to blog or text, so I may take a while before getting all this read and digested. I am excited to finally do something and stop just yelling about it. Althought that helps too!!

I'm hoping you do not mind that I hit the button "add a friend".

Thank you again,
Cheryl

Thank you for the links. I hoped the conversion to natural gas for over the road trucks would have been a priority to this administration. Apparently nobody senses the urgency in keeping our currency circulating in our own country. I think some people feel we can print it with no consequence. I heard Ford was testing a capstone turbine for possible use. Anyway we can encourage them to go that route? I'm really disappointed in the meager progress to this goal and it could make such a positive step in our crumbling economy.

C O N S E R V A T I O N :
Free Alternative Energy Available Now !

America Continues to Waste over 70% of the Energy it Consumes.
100's of millions of lights unnecessarily burn during the day and night, over heating and over cooling is the norm, over packaging, inadequate recycling, toxic landfills, horrendous road congestion, and our perverted obsession with road construction. Public and Private buildings, Schools, Churches, Homes, ... America's blatant energy waste and overuse is culturally pervasive, and abominable !

1- ONLY with a substantial and tangible economic reward/consequence will most Americans care to conserve.
Crude oil must be taxed at $200 per barrel and offset by making income tax begin at $60k.
Taxing energy is simple, fair, economically sound, and available TODAY.
2- The American auto industry must quickly transition to the 6.4 BILLION people reason$ to manufacture solar, wind, and other alternative energy producers. They already have the needed infrastructure. Every home and building in the world, could be using solar energy. We are fast running out of fossil fuels !

Humanity is racing toward extinction, via global warming, for our failure to stop our energy waste.
Taxing energy (in lieu of income taxes) is the ONLY incentive that will stop energy waste and cause renewable energy sources to be employed.

Leslie,1st let me say thank you for the welcome. Let me first say it is a great thought that people of your age and calibre have been able to organize and I beleive will change this countrys attitude.I tryed for many years with no sucess , to enforce the enviromental laws of the state of Indiana ( vehicale). at that time most pleasure, automobiles were approaching 14-19 mpg many of them would have black smoke pouring from the rear end as they were headed to your beautiful state of FL South bound on Interstate -65 I thought at that time why was it so necassary to harm the Planet so the family could vacation. The oil from cars and I havent even talked about the truck traffic.I-am glad your generation can now take up the cause. If I can be of any help let me know. God Bless DKB

Thank you, Leslie. I did the first two e-mailing "Take Action" options, which included the Natural Gas Act. I'd written my Congressman, Ed Markey, before about this and other issues. Hopefully, his office will start to recognize my name.

I tried to do the email to congress (the first choice of support the whole plan) and it told me my zip code was not part of the campaign. Even tried using a capital city of Jackson main post office zip code and got same problem. Anyone have a suggestion?
