Dear Monte and Debbie:

DD and a couple of others discouraged me from participating on some blogs. I was impressed with your responses to DD. I didn’t have the courage to reply and deleted some of my comments and almost deleted my complete page. I’m and old guy that’s been fighting this war for decades and I do see light at the end of the tunnel. At least I’ve lived long enough to see my dream come to fruition.

I was really happy to see Monte Smith make a comment on your page. I miss his participation, insight and observations. I enjoy your wisdom and years of participation in this war for energy independence. I don’t think Monte Smith realizes how many people he has inspired.

Monty,

Who is this guy, Anthony John Cafferio II? He also left a threatening comment on my page. Once I noticed it I went to his page and asked for clarification. As of yet there has been none offerred. The red flags have gone up all around this individual.

BTW, I'm not actually back and active yet but I do check in from time to time. Navigating the current heavy rapids I've hit in this river of life has been consuming most every iota of my attention. However, if the rapids don't kill you they darn sure can invigorate you and stimulate introspection and re-evalueation of one's values, lifestyle, purposes and goals. In other words, sometimes what appears to be a downward spiral is actually an upward spiral. It's something like swimming up a water fall. In any case, things are looking up. I'll be giving all my old and new friends an update before long.

Very glad to see that you are still at it Monty!

May we always desire to play a better game and create a better tomorrow (for everyone!).

Your Friend,
Monte

Winter in south dakota....

sorry to hear your fortune has taken a down turn....I'm thinkin'..how can he be on the outs ?..he's the tower rolling and coatings guru, the master mind of wind torque management and associated elemental degradation abatement...

so ,for me..

Think of all you've done and the continuing impact of those achievements, and take some time to appreciate the finer points in life..gaze into the silver lining and know ya got friends.

Dear Monty and Debbie; I'm terribly sorry about your situation, and, yes, please continue to 'tell it like it is'. I have no suggestions as I'm sure you've thought of everything possible you could possibly do. anita

Hi Monty, I hope I spelled that right. By the way my keyboard has started dropping letters I know I typed like spaces between words or letters in the middle of a word. I go to your SEE site and saw a small photo of the Vermillion river. Actually two photos but I liked the snowy one best. It is beautiful though I might change my opinion if seen from under the bridge over it. Now I've lost the link but I just wanted to copy that photo to my hard drive and see the rest of your photos. It is hard to remain optimistic in the face of hardships like your and mine. I was reading in Job this morning. It was the morning devotional from Spurgeon. I have never taken anything at face value and as I wrote my notes I said "I acknowledge the truth that we grow stronger when facing trials but it seems that when we face trials we have the least assurance of victory. That doesn't seem fair. I understand that when everything is going well we often neglect the spirit but should God give us a taste of our own contempt for a relationship with him when a liberal dose of his comfort and strength might do more to show us its value." I am probably not a great source of wisdom. Your friend (and Debbie's too).

Dear Monty and Debbie; we may not save America from its energy war woes, but let us take blessed assurance from the fact that we are standing on the right side of the issue. You folks are the early pioneers of this viable wind energy, and I applaud your keen fore-sight and devotion. You havn't wasted your time at all, you encourage us who haven't got a clue about dirty fuel sources and I thank you for that. Please enjoy this song I wrote ok?Leland #1.mp3

It takes a TEAM to Win WIn Win... and this also applies to Material Selection. to Process Methodology. and TASK SHARING... or simply TEAM WORK to do a great project. I was Engineering Administrator-- for High Tech Company--with a crew of 35 draftsmen, four project engineers +drawing room staff. We were building "string & glue" --all this by very clever -- W, Brant Goldsworthy-- He made first fiberglass airplane, first CORVETTE body. first fiberglass diving boards, first carbon-fiber golf club shafts, first fiberglass paddle boards, first lots of everything from fiber and resins-- invented also PULTRUSION...--- huge strong wet with liquid resin fiber pulled thru a polished die with "cure station" so the final product was "cooked" ready for chop-off. He made rounds, squares, hollow pull-thru shapes. He taught me TEAM_WORK in materials & process.

Look at what happened after SOMEBODY added "fiberglass strands" to "packing tape"--- You have-tah cut it !!!

For those who do not have WIND...You (we) might consider spining prop in streams-- also tp drive electric generator, or pump water out and up-- make pond and "drain that" back as hydro-power --- This being WIND POWER downstream of storm clouds to rain and finally gravity flow draining back to the SEA..
Also learned that we should copy NATURE, to make sure, we do not VIOLATE some of the NATURAL laws and basic laws of CREATION. Like "GIGO" GOING IN = GOING OUT meaning NOTHING is FREE or builds up more than the INPUT-- and MESSING with the INPUT-- you get LOSSES.. Auto engine 25% efficient, Diesel 45% converting carbon/oxygen "marriage" O=C=O Carbon Dioxide (carbon atom plus "two new wives" this gives off HEAT-- HEAT LOSS out the tail-pipe--- same happens with us folks easting oatmeal or cookies, Bar-B-Que. THEY scream at STOPPING CARBON ---- WHOOPS - what will we eat --- and burn like Yellow flame of wax candle. There are NEW ANSWERS for CO2 capture; not by me, but others with massive chemical background and new ideas-- Calif firm (their Pat Pending) makes into chalk, calcium- carbonate (“green carbonate”) = egg shell, dry wall, white filler in paper, etc.. 25,000 uses. That inventor found business manager—and they got $50 million investment to make Corp. go !!!
I keep trying to make lots of fantastic machines, and process systems. Several FREE ENERGY things--- (they don't WORK—CAN’ WORK) – but you can't fool natural-basic-laws . We can re-select things-- like adding fiberglass-- Most companies use all-plastic, all-steel, all wood.++ using wooden pegs --no nails.

Yes, we can "invest"-- as in help PATENT this NEW STUFF to PROTECT our INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY... five years to get the final patent--they have back-log-- Like most public run systems-- also lack TECHNICAL people-- Thus, right now VENTURE CAPITAL is on sidelines—They insist on 4000% INTEREST – (UPTAKE} as they choose 39 LOSERS for every ONE success.. They are absent now for four years !! YES, WE CAN !!.-- Most Banks ALSO on sidelines !!!

Yes, it does --- Take A TEAM to WIN WIN WIN …. Email = designky@vci.net

REMARKS OF PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA

WEEKLY ADDRESS

The White House
Saturday, February 7, 2009

Yesterday began with some devastating news with regard to our economic crisis. But I'm pleased to say it ended on a more positive note.

In the morning, we received yet another round of alarming employment figures – the worst in more than 30 years. Another 600,000 jobs were lost in January. We've now lost more than 3.6 million jobs since this recession began.

But by the evening, Democrats and Republicans came together in the Senate and responded appropriately to the urgency this moment demands.

In the midst of our greatest economic crisis since the Great Depression, the American people were hoping that Congress would begin to confront the great challenges we face. That was, after all, what last November's election was all about.

Legislation of such magnitude deserves the scrutiny that it's received over the last month, and it will receive more in the days to come. But we can't afford to make perfect the enemy of the absolutely necessary. The scale and scope of this plan is right. And the time for action is now.

Because if we don't move swiftly to put this plan in motion, our economic crisis could become a national catastrophe. Millions of Americans will lose their jobs, their homes, and their health care. Millions more will have to put their dreams on hold.

Let's be clear: We can't expect relief from the tired old theories that, in eight short years, doubled the national debt, threw our economy into a tailspin, and led us into this mess in the first place. We can't rely on a losing formula that offers only tax cuts as the answer to all our problems while ignoring our fundamental economic challenges – the crushing cost of health care or the inadequate state of so many schools; our addiction to foreign oil or our crumbling roads, bridges, and levees.

The American people know that our challenges are great. They don't expect Democratic solutions or Republican solutions – they expect American solutions.

From the beginning, this recovery plan has had at its core a simple idea: Let's put Americans to work doing the work America needs done. It will save or create more than 3 million jobs over the next two years, all across the country – 16,000 in Maine, nearly 80,000 in Indiana – almost all of them in the private sector, and all of them jobs that help us recover today, and prosper tomorrow.

Jobs that upgrade classrooms and laboratories in 10,000 schools nationwide – at least 485 in Florida alone – and train an army of teachers in math and science.

Jobs that modernize our health care system, not only saving us billions of dollars, but countless lives.

Jobs that construct a smart electric grid, connect every corner of the country to the information superhighway, double our capacity to generate renewable energy, and grow the economy of tomorrow.

Jobs that rebuild our crumbling roads, bridges and levees and dams, so that the tragedies of New Orleans and Minneapolis never happen again.

It includes immediate tax relief for our struggling middle class in places like Ohio, where 4.5 million workers will receive a tax cut of up to $1,000. It protects health insurance and provides unemployment insurance for those who've lost their jobs. And it helps our states and communities avoid painful tax hikes or layoffs for our teachers, nurses, and first responders.

That's what is at stake with this plan: putting Americans back to work, creating transformative economic change, and making a down payment on the American Dream that serves our children and our children's children for generations to come.

Americans across this country are struggling, and they are watching to see if we're equal to the task before us. Let's show them that we are. And let's do whatever it takes to keep the promise of America alive in our time.

Thank you.
