I ran 4 gauge cable insulated inside garden hose to minimize chaffing. I seem to be getting about a 20% increase in mileage but that is a rough estimate. I need to run some side by side comparisons so I am installing an in-line switch so I can run with and without the hydrogen. Then of course I can increase or decrease the amount of hydrogen production dependent on the amount of catalyst which increases hydrogen production and amperage draw. right now I am drawing only about 5 amps just adding a simple amount of supplemental hydrogen and oxygen directly into my intake.

Walter, Congratulation on your move to Thousand Oaks, it's a great area! Must admit that i am a little bit envious. Best wishes for a smooth trouble free move. Stay in touch!
Walter,
This ordinary citizen agrees with you. Before we fire the people in the beltway and state capitols let's see if we can get a little of our money back. With people of your caliber and your credentials it is only a matter of time until our glorious government leaders give us more than lip service. Walter, very few of us have your experience or background, but many of us agree that it is time to get our government back. Think this army is going to put up a hell of a fight! Know that us Apple Valley Guys will do our part. Thanks for your words of wisdom and encouragement. We will stay in touch!
Thank you for the friendship Walter,
I remember the first time I was very close up to a wind farm, I was in California. It was absolutely breathtaking. It seemed like there were acres and acres of them. I have been researching renewal energy as often as I can, and trying to do as much as I can. Let's keep in touch!

Thanks for the great comment. I might be a bit older than most people here but I grew up when company presidents (didn't have CEOs yet) had a long history with their company. My neighbor was an Italian imigrant and president of Pioneer Steel Ball, a ball bearing manufacturer in CT. He was there when I was born and retired there. When I was in busines school (have a MIS degree as well as being an engineer) I saw this change in accounting and financial analysis (Wall St. evaluations) taking place - also minored in accounting and finance - and discussions with professors and others led to the conclusion that this was not sustainable and sooner or later the system would crash. Well, it looks like it was a but later than we thought (I was in school in '70s - my second collegiate stint, as an adult student) but it happened.
There are no "quick fixes" for this - the entire system needs to be changed. The thing is that the needed change could not be even started until a major catastrophy occurred as no one could afford to be the first one to reform. Well, now we have the catastrophy - but I don't think our "leadership" is either old enough or savvy enough to realize or admit what really needs to be done. Too many things need to be reformed all at once for these people (politicians and such) to grasp it.
The situation with healthcare is much the same - helathcare is so expensive because drugs, equipment and doctors are so expensive, and they are so expensive largely due to the flood of superfluous (sp?) lawsuites and the insurance to protect against them. Medical info is not commonly available, aka computerized in a centralized databank because the wrong people would have access to it, leading to insurance companies using it against people and lawyers dredging up more tort cases against anyone they can find, There is not an hour in the day, at least before 11:00 PM, that some law group is not advertising a class-action against someone for something. So to reform healthcare and lower the expense, tort reform must come first, then FDA reform and reigning in of the drug companies, then get rid of the excess management in hospitals and providers, reform HIPPA regs so they can ge complied with without putting people in jeopardy die to ridiculous "violations" and on and on.
Wlee, enough again - thanks for the compliments and I will try to do all I can here.
Thanks again Walter, If we can get just one fax, web based comment form, or letter to the President or Vice President there may be a possibility that he may direct the Secretary of Treasury to take action on this idea. He needs our support and he needs funding to make the 10 year goal of Energy Independence from middle east oil he set happen. Also, the Select Congressional Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming is another route besides your representatives. Please, at your discretion, if you want to pass this idea to others and encourage them to become friends on my web page do so. Thanks for your support and help.
Sincerely and with Respect

Hi Walter, Anything may just be possible. President Obama needs LOTS of money to support his energy independence plans. After he gets support to only finance part of what he needs turning to this, and the public, will be the answer. He turned to the public for individual financing of amounts under 100 dollars and look what happened....he became the President (for many other reasons also). I have faxed virtually everyone but need many others if they want to support to make it happen. I'm an Electronic Technician with a bit of common sense (most of the time). I'm not a lawyer or law maker and they should get off their cans and make something happen after of course, they find out there is public support behind the idea.
Best Regards and with Respect,
Mike Kendall
Hi Walter, Here is a way to help and give tools to all of us for getting more RE projects started. I have been pushing for the sell of US Treasury "Energy Independence Savings Bonds". Savings bonds are normally purchased in $25 increments. This gives a way for just about any American to tighten their belts just a bit by skipping a meal at McDonalds or Pizza Hut and buying a RE savings bond to support a project. I need help pushing this project, I've faxed and emailed many in Congress/Senate already. My email is ke6cvh@yahoo.com. Here is a copy of a fax sent to Nancy Pelosi yesterday:
27FEB09
Honorable Speaker of the House Congresswoman Pelosi,
I am an Electronic Technician Chief in the US Navy with 27 years service stationed overseas. I’m outlying an idea to assist and work with current plans for achieving energy independence. I urge you, as speaker of the house and the driving force to form the select committee on energy independence and global warming, consider for discussion and introduction into the house US Treasury Savings Bonds for Energy Independance.
In WWII America sold war bonds supporting the war effort. When young, my mother told me her primary school raised enough money through bonds to build a tank to support troops. I am impressed with the patriotism and purpose of our greatest generation that accomplished so much.
Selling energy bonds for RE (Renewable Energy) development would lower foreign oil imports and assist with the complex problem of funding. Bonds sold as “Energy S” could support new solar trough plants, “Energy W” to support wind farms, Energy “H” to support hydroelectric plants, Energy “T” to support RE transportation such as electric bullet train routes powered by RE, Energy "C" COOPS for small communities only needing a small quantity of turbines, and Energy “I” for needed infrastructure high voltage power lines to the RE site. Bonds will have the project name and include an artist’s perspective of the project and an American flag. President Obama had great success with the internet during his campaign. In a similar manner, using the internet, energy bonds could have a website listing current projects and an “electronic checkout” could purchase a bond $25 or higher. Simpler methods of payment such as “PAYPAL” and credit cards would be available and after an electronic purchase is complete a color print out of the bond is available with a follow up of the bond in the mail. The website would limit quantity of projects for each category until funding is complete. After a project becomes funded, a new project will be available. A tab on the site will show history and status of previous projects. Purchasers may take great pride in “collecting” and displaying bonds of various RE projects and participating at different levels of financial support. Solar trough plants in the multi-hundred MW size capacity with molten salt energy storage in California, Arizona, and West Texas can provide a major portion of electric needs. North Dakota has potential to support 1/3 of our nations electric needs in it’s class 4 wind zone areas. There are plenty of suitable proposed wind turbine farms now around the nation to significantly increase our RE if funded. Mid sized hydro-electric has not been used in America to it’s full potential. Following the example of our neighbor, Canada, it would provide a significant increase in percentage of electric production. Developing all three we could provide the majority of our electric and heating needs through renewable energy in a "New New Deal" fashion allowing natural gas for transportation as T. Boone Pickens is working for. Bullet train routes have proven a viable alternative to commercial domestic air service and when powered by electricity provided by RE suppliers America would be in the forefront of world technology. Example, I heard of discussion for a commuter train from Denver to Colorado Springs. Such a route built as a renewable energy project with charter requirement legally requiring to only purchase electricity from available renewable energy sources would be a model example. There are many train routes, city bus systems, and government vehicles that can be converted to run from alternative energy sources and fuels. Jobs created would bolster the economy, lower trade deficit, and strengthen national security. I would take great pride in print outs of bonds with graphics of each project I supported and many other Americans would also. The energy bonds could have tax breaks. BLM lands may be a viable place to start for some projects.
I contacted the US treasury department and was told that the marketing department for savings bonds closed several years ago. I was told there would be problems because savings bonds are at the federal level while the projects will be at the state and local level. I disagree and believe that these can easily be figured out in the way of grants to the state and local level using money from the bonds for those specific projects. I was told to check out auctions on the www.treasurydirect.gov website and found them to not apply to citizens wanting to buy savings bonds to support a cause such as energy independance. I was told by the treasury department to look into CREB (Clean Renewable Energy Bonds). I found CREB to be large scale funding that a citizen would not be able to participate in as a US Treasury Energy Independance Bond would provide. If given the tools to participate directly, the power of the citizens of the United States to help achieve energy independance could not be denied. Americans mean well and the Energy Independance Savings bond program will give citizens the power at their level to make it happen. If marketed through a web page, commercials, and to federal employees the word would get out and participation would spread like wildfire.

"Why our leaders just don't get it, I don't know, but suspect it is the result of money backed lobbyist making the decisions in Washington."
The only way we will ever "beat" these lobbyists is with HUGE numbers of supporters. The power of our army CAN trump the power of contacts and money, when it is so large that it will be political suicide for the politicians to ignore.
This is why I push and push. I truly beleive the numbers will cause us to go past the tipping point on the paradigm of thought on energy in this country, until it is expected that we must do this!
Hope you can help. Manually nput the names of supporters at the TAKE ACTION page.
Best to you, Walter.

WOW!! That was a huge array.
I am just now starting to realize the immensity of my project.
I have a lot of work to do, to make this dream a reality.
Thank you for your insight.
Hi Walter,
Things have been a bit nuts lately, sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
As for my solar project it is still in the R&D stage. I have gathered some data on solar radiance for the proposed site. I was just wondering if you had any experience in setting up a large solar array and if you could give me some advice on how to accomplish it.
thanks
This is an exciting time to be in when the idea of alternative energy is taken seriously by the world and our new President! Our childrens future are in our hands. Together we can make this happen!

I bought one of the sealed batteries and used some heavy duty 4 gauge wire which I ran inside an old water hose to minimize chaffing.
Still working on it.
