I have already sent the letters requesting all my elected officials to pledge support of the PickensPlan. I used the link from the Plan site. I also personally emailed all same officials before that. I heard back from only one: Congressman Russ Carnahan. He pledges full suppport of the plan. His voting record shows him to be best in MO
for support of environmental laws and animal rights laws. I would be willing to join a St. Louis group if
it is fairly near to my home (Webster Groves/Kirkwood area.) I have already been hard at work to educate friends and family and request their support of the Plan.

YOU CAN HELP BY BRINGIN 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who will certainly try to derail this historic effort.

PLEASE DOWLOAD THE PLEDGE on the main page. Print out 10 or more of them, get them signed and fax them back. We neen the numbers to be millions strong, we can achieve this.

THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS
We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Write to your Congressman/woman. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.

A GROUP FOR EVERYONE
Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your city or state, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.

PLEASE FRIEND ME so we can keep in touch. I do updates on new member numbers and help with the pldge petition drive.
