As a group, we have sent over 30,000 messages to our Senators in just 2 days. THIS IS THE MOMENT WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR. Real action is on the table. Let them hear from us.
Boone's team has made it so easy - it takes just one minute to forward a simple message to your Senators. PLEASE do it today. Please get the folks in your home, family and office to do the same.
Hi Ross! Welcome to District OK-05! Please let me know if you have any questions and what I can do to help you promote energy independence! Today we are calling our 2 Senators-Tom Coburn and Jim Inhofe, and Representive Mary Fallin about the economic "stimulus" package. You will see on the OK-05 a comment (next to the Uncle Sam) that contains the phone numbers and easy to use script, if you need it. Please let me know how your calls went. Our regional leader, Geoff Bailey, is anxious to hear a good report! I will be sending you more info about what else we're up to later. Have a great evening!

Merry Christmas Ross,
This year I have helped so many members learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about power use, conservation, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my energy costs. Send me a friend request a to add me Ross, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.
BTW, oklahoma: I just posted an article about Home Wind Systems in oklahoma. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "soft policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. You should read that article, important.
We have new roof mounting residential wind turbine kits shipping now. The kits are attractive, sleek, well designed to install as a home appliance on the roof, much like an antennae or satellite dish. They are as easy to install as other home appliances, like dishwasher, etc. You can now begin a personal energy plan. These systems are inexpensive, easy to install, scaleable.
Your Wind blows stronger in the winter, Your Sun shines stronger in the summer months. This hybrid wind/solar system combines these cycles to give a more even flow of energy year round. This homeowner sized wind/solar system provides free power for your home. Many customers have found it easy to become customer/dealers of our kits. Customers can become a dealer with no further investment, they see quickly how people are easy to get interested.
I have used the same systems save money on my electricity costs and Ross, you can too. Your local wind resources are so good in Oklahoma. Please see these windmaps at the link below and pinpoint what number your area is in. Zone 2 is OK, anything over 2 is (very) good. First double check your wind resources from the map and links below.

Ross,
My name is Geoff Bailey and I am the Pickens Plan regional campaign director for Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. I know how involved you've been on the site for the past two months and I just wanted to thank you for all of your hard work!
I just wanted to personally introduce myself. And I hope you are having a great day!
Welcome Ross and THANK YOU for joining Pickens Plan.
YOU CAN HELP BY BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who will certainly try to derail this historic effort.
PLEASE DOWLOAD THE PLEDGE on the main page. Print out 10 or more of them, get them signed and fax them back ASAP. When we are millions strong, we can achieve this.
In addition to the PLEDGE, we now also have a RED "CONTACT CONGRESS" BUTTON on the main page, top right. Fill out the standard form and the letter is sent to YOUR Governor and Washington Representatives! Easy breezy. Perfect timing considering the energy bill is coming up. We must beat back the lobbyists!
THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
...to wait and see...or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS
We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Write to your Congressman/woman. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.
A GROUP FOR EVERYONE
Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your city or state, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.
PLEASE FRIEND ME so we can keep in touch. I do updates on new member numbers and help with the pledge petition drive.
Thanks again for joining us.

Hi Ross, Thank you for joining our group USA Energy Independence. I hope to make it worth your time and the time of any others who join us.
Please mention us to your other friends who you think have a sense of humor as well as a passion to raise the awareness for the need for USA Energy Independence.
Key Policy Recommendations for a Cleaner, Greener Energy Future
* Provide multiyear tax incentives for renewable-energy production and energy-efficiency projects.
* Set national mandates that would require utilities to get at least 20 percent of their electricity from wind, solar and geothermal energy by 2020.
* Add and updating the building code to require energy-efficiency measures in the construction of new buildings and the renovation of existing buildings, and setting a goal to reduce buildings' energy use 50 percent by 2030.
* Set prices for carbon-dioxide emissions and creating a program that caps emissions from different industries and allowing companies to trade emissions allowances.
* Upgrade and expanding the nation's electric grid to enable it to support electric cars and the transport and storage of renewable energy.
* Provide incentives for utilities to invest in energy-efficiency technologies.
* Increase the fuel efficiency of cars and trucks and investing more money in private-public partnerships that would develop transportation systems that rely on little or no oil, such as electric cars.
* Provide incentives to consumers and small businesses to buy plug-in hybrid cars and alternative fuels, including natural-gas-powered cars.
* Invest more federal dollars in cleantech research and development, including ways to capture and store carbon-dioxide emissions from coal-fired power plants.
* Speed up the process of setting aside public lands and improving the permitting process for renewable-electricity projects on public lands.
* Shift from ethanol made from corn to ethanol made from wood chips, agricultural waste and other nonfood feedstock, and encouraging a joint U.S.-Brazil partnership to turn sugar cane into ethanol in the Caribbean.
Please come to a Town Hall meeting with T. Boone Pickens where he will discuss the Pickens Plan and take questions from the audience. No ticket required. Open to the public.

Ross, I see that you are the founder of the OKlahomans for energy group..I'm Denise BTW.
I have a couple of questions for you. You're based in Stillwater but your address says the group is based in OKC. Are you also aware that there is a Cowboys for Pickensplan group opeerating out of Stillwater?..The thing of it is, this is getting really confusing. There are at lest four groups going on the forum: Stillwater, Tulsa, OKC, and Norman. All well and good, but all the messages for ameeting in OKC are now based under "Meeting in Tulsa." It's really confusing. It would be really helpful if the groups were at least based alphabetically by state. Any clue on how to do this?
ok i am trying to find out where and when this meeting is going to be???? would like to attened but can't if i don't know where ans when some one please post on this web site i will check later in the day hope it is in okc and not tulsa i live in western oklahoma tulsa would be to far to drive with the high cost of gas
Thanks for the heads up Ross. I'm going to assume this is the same meeting as Phil Preston described in his comments today. I will copy that information and email it to the entire group. Thank you for organizing this meeting. I would like to make it but unfortunately I have plans for that weekend. But I will do my best to help organize, assist and/or attend any future meetings.
Ross,
I justjoined PickensPlan yesterday, and am 100% behind this effort. Just to introduce myself, I have recenmtly moved from the Chicago area back to Tulsa, where I grew up. I am Managing Partner for Momentum Advantage Partners, an alternative energy consulting group. We specialize in biofuels, hydrogen, solar and wind. MAP is currently on the Illinois Governor's Biofuels Working Group and have spent considerable time with state officials in the Wisconsin area. Thanks for taking the leadership to start the group. If you are interested, would like to talk with you about how we might get this organized and moving in Okla. As Annie says, we need to move from blogs to action.
