Hello,
I just wanted to take a minuet of your time to let you know that a residential solar revolution has started that will change the way you think about solar.

Not to knock Mr. Picken's vision, or anything, but I don't particularly think it focuses too well on one of the reasons we got here in the first place. Big corporate machinery is a requirement, and has some definite advantages, but it doesn't allow the small business person to develop, explore, improve (this -very- required part of our existence) ,and profit, if regulations won't even let them on the playing field.
If free trade for CLEAN energy, were available ($.05/KWH @ 20 HP = $1,500/month), then I suspect -as one example- that a lot of farmers would put up multiple 5 HP wind generation systems on freeway light sized poles (that would be able to be lowered to the ground for servicing) as opposed to the 10 story "Clipper Ships" that require much more time and delay to install in limited locations, for the benefit (monetarily) of a very few people.
Another example: this same mentality of "top down" control built up a whole lot of "Mc Mansions" that are now of inflated value .They could be very valuable assets, with just a couple of rooms' conversions. Let me explain; The LP gas utility increases production of thawing methane resources to capture the gas before it can escape to the atmosphere. It sells the gas to the home owner who can turn the gas into heat and electricity for the home, (plus 2 HP constant extra), using a auto engine equipped with an extra catalytic converter that turns the carbon dioxide into calcium carbonate (this is effective for this range of engine conversion size to 40(?) HP constant). for a check from the utility company of $150 each month (about the cost of the LP gas bill, plus that much more for the pocket). -No changes required to utility infrastructure, and the utility doesn't have to build, man, or maintain the energy generation source; they become a _more profitable_ broker.-
If larger generation capacity is wanted, (20 HP for $1,500 return), a larger monthly connection fee is billed the location, for the upgrade in the wire, equipment, and transformer size, and the LP gas bill would be about $750, with a balance of $700 for profit each month. Any windmills or solar would result in reducing the LP gas bill, making small farms more secure in growing food/energy crops instead of some of the crap they now -have to- sell.
Once that is done, 20 HP energy generation (that results in $1,500 / month in return) will allow banks to be comfortable in lending the money for the solar-home / car-convertors (whatever) that do this. With a car payment of $300, and a mortgage payment of $800 (possibly distributed automatically), that still leaves $300 for taxes, and insurance, and food. All this without being any burden on the State. The figures are ballpark, but I would expect the banks to adjust the levels to provide a better level of food / personal income for the kind of return this represents.
More than that; correct type of homes built / upgraded get more jobs, in the local area. Energy costs for manufacturing and transportation go down -and remain low-. Labor benefits improve for workers, because they don't need a job , absolutely, right away, and small business will have more money to move around.
Stable, objective based economics, free home, security, transportation, food, and insurance,... and all a person has to do is sign a paper (and maybe get a vasectomy in the dangerously over populated parts of the world).
Hi Kurt, Not sure how you sent me an email but 'ts ok. You obviously are concerned about the bailout and want to talk with your congressman. I just spent 30+ minutes trying to find something for you on the failed measure to no avail but if you haven't tried www.house.gov or http://thomas.loc.gov/bss/d110query.html you may be able to find what I could not. Good luck.

Hi Kurt
Glad to have you here. Thank you for your offer of meaningful support for this historical effort! Need folks to help push pledges, and Pickens U. Look forward to hearing from you. 400,000 is not 1 million! Can you get some pledges signed?
Change to a Better Design in Spark Plugs, a little like changing light bulbs, easy to do with an impact for all. Spend $40.00 - $50.00 now and save $200.00 per year on fuel.
Bruce
Thx for the link. The bailout of FNMA and Freddie will lead to a major recession whether or not the foreign interests call in their markers. The national debt will balloon to 15 trillion dollars. Adding a few more trillion for oil and gas companies just makes it worse.
Hi Kurt, Thanks for the info. Been wanting to find a way to get a Natural Gas fueling station here in Southeast Missouri. In order for us to get a CNG, we have to have the fuel available. There isn't any in this area, yet. There are some in St. Louis. We are about 2 1/2 hours south. The town I live in is right off of Interstate 55. It would seem to me, a great place to have a CNG fueling station right here. People travel right through here on there way to and from Memphis and I am sure all other places. Also, 1 mile up the road is Rt 60 which turns into Interstate 57N going to Chicago. Can you imagine the significance of having a station here?
Yeah, I heard that about Buffet. It's like the way even Conservatives like Bubba, because he made them a lot a money when our economy was cranking. The sure money should be on Democrats, if they want to bring prosperity back. I'ma prayin'!
Hey Kurt, I have been experiencing the same thing. I go to Communities and "bang", I'm knocked off. What gives? Maybe the site is running out of bandwidth. I'kk bet they never expected it to take off like it has. I know there are some who have lost interest and have moved on but I think we are still growing every day. I am just waiting for an investor who wants to build green sloutions on my land in Oklahoma. Until I have a partner, all I can to is keep promoting T. Boone and the Picken's Plan.
I didin't think you were picking on her but laying at her doorstep that which she has to own up to.
So much for the polticians lets get to the important stuff take a llok at this http://newsoffice.techtv.mit.edu/file/1243/.
I'm sorry I didn't pick up on the humor in your comments about Pelosi, Kurt. I'm worn down by partisan bickering. A statistic recently provided by Mr. Pickens himself implied that Congress is in the way of alternative energy. I, too, was delighted that Mrs. Pelosi invests in a better future. I supported Jerry McNerney for Congress in part because he is an alternative energy expert who was running against someone who was an oil industry supporter. We need to elect leaders from all parties who have invested in and will invest in a better future.
Hey Lawrence , no I wasnt surprised by Pelosi, I was just glad she was buying in to something specifically tied to Pickens. They said Biden is only worth $150k , thats less then Pelosi owns of just this one stock? He needs to learn from Pelosi a thing or two...lol... and vice versa...lol...
So you;re surprised about Pelosi wake up my friend and live in the real world politicians in this country of ours live the grand life and have no problem flaunting in our faces when questioned about it. Public service in our nation has become the domain of the arrogant and self serving. We have no one to blame but ourselves we the people haqve created the monster by our complacency.
Isn't that the truth Kurt?! It amazes me that even now the majority is like you said still complicating the matter! It will take a full "toolbox" of various energy sources to diminish the largest "transfer of wealth" in this nation's history to OPEC and other countries that frankly dont have to like or dislike us! Its not personal! Its a global ratrace to meet growing energy needs especially for countries like China, India and other developing nations that simply want to create the "American Dream" for themselves nationally and for their citizens! Can you really blame them?! No! We should blame the politicians in this country that for whatever reasons have lulled the American public into believing that we could rape the rest of the world of its energy sources while we left our own untapped! Well in the words of Rev. Jeremiah Wright, "the chickens have come home to roost"!
Like you said Kurt, LETS USE WHAT WE KNOW WORKS! The number one energy source that is cheaper, cleaner, abundant and most importantly DOMESTIC is NATURAL GAS!!! Yet I still think there is a major misconception and false association out there between natural gas and oil. This is a huge misconception and absolutely false! This is why T.Boone himself has to create additional TV Ads to educate the public about this crucial component of this plan! NATURAL GAS PEOPLE!! NATURAL GAS!!
Why compressed natural gas? When there could be an actual glut in natural gas -- the price is being held in line and equal to that of high oil thus politicizing the price of natural gas. I would be interested in buying stock in this venture ONLY if there is a way to get the gas producers to lower substantially their price. Or is compressed gas another commodity or a different by-product that I am unfamiliar with altogether? Propane prices are through the roof as well. Educate me.
Truth hurts? Removed your dribble as I will all your dribble so it does not propagate. Clear minds tend to require one email. I think you need to fact check your sources as they are very off. Seems you have read the DNC's play book for their convention for trying as best as they can to associate McCain to Bush when the facts are far from that. The key is to fact check beyond the DNC or even the RNC. You seem bright enough but are regurgitating rather than thinking for yourself.
If you would think for yourself, your would realize the threat goes far beyond OPEC, Russia, & Venezuela. You left out Brazil & Mexico and even China. Why is it that China has drilling 60 miles off our coastline? Is wind the answer? No way, but it is movement in the right direction. Is hybred or solar technology the answer? Same answer, movement in the right direction. There does not appear to be any single silver bullet. The goal is create an extensive toolbox of options to deploy to reduce dependance and the transfer of wealth.
We have a choice coming up and I suggest that you fact check things before making up your mind. You will be surprised by the line of BS the normal media channels have feed the public. If you get beyond the media hype, you would become as mad as I am at our so called unbiased news reporting.
Kurt,
Thanks for your message. I just contacted one of your friends, Nia Crowder, who has experience working with the governmental side of environmental issues and asked if she could give some names in her state who might talk with our Lt. Governor here in Georgia to move from the talking phase to the action phase. Stay positive.....changing government is slow.
