Right on, David, we can actually do this right now with gas turbines running off of Hydrogen produced with all of our cheap wind and off-peak power capacity.
We have a cheap, effective and efficient Electrolyzer to do that.

Generator back up could be achieved with a gas turbines instead of a diesel engines. There are many recent advances in gas turbines and micro-turbines to improve efficiency and reduce emissions.
Energy storage could be used for peak shaving and load curtailment.
A partnership with the local utility will be key. We work extensively with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) - they could provide a vital link.
