Great concepts Matt. I believe the lowly algae is the king of the bio-fuel systems for renewable energy resources. Check my site at sustainable-lake-county-oregon.com (the second page lower right side )for "Full Cycle Energy Utilization" for my take on algae production in conjunction with my Geothermal Agri-business concept.

150W? Nah that's easy -- you could run 1000 harvesters on a small S&T genset.

Are you kidding its an honor to have you as a friend. I just wish I had funding to help you with your Algae Project. I read about that never ending oil supply. I wish you could come to our Chamber Business Expo on the 24th, Or maybe I can help you to promote it.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks for all you do.

Bruce,

Thank you for assisting me in the determination of the degree of severity of the "occular A.D.D." I seem to be experiencing the past 24 hours or so.

Matt,
I went to the 'Groups' page and typed 'algae' in the 'Search' box. The response was 61 entries with the 'AAABP' group being listed first. 7 comments made over a period of months relating to AAABP were referenced.

Thus, in answer to your question, I personally did not have a problem with accessing AAABP from the Groups page.

A message from Matt S to all members of American Assn. of Algae Biofuel Producers on PickensPlan!

Howdy Fellow AAABP Members,

Am I the only one who is having trouble finding our group on the groups page on the pickenplan website?

Your responses are appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt

Sorry, swimming pools are beyond my pay grade. The harvesters use 150 watts each.

Hey Matt, that's cool. I was just hoping to find a way to get the algae out of my swimming pool without chemicals & whatnot :^) I guess the old DE filter will be with me for a long time. I'm really just a techno-junkie at heart. Someday I'm gonna read the harvester patent.

So um, how much electricity do you uses at one of these harvester sites??? Maybe someday you'll want to run the facility with Green CSP electricity... Whaddya think?

Besides the biofuels, do the Algae outgas other biproducts. What has the EPA said on impact, and how do you deal with the NIMBY sindrome?
Hiring engineers or techs? I'm more of a hands-on doer, than a talker. Add as friend for direct messaging.

If I can't build it, I do know talkers: Marketers, VC & a few other potential investors.

Temperature? Really... I'd've imagined that you'd need a cooler to dump virtually all of the solar heat -- expensive, yes, but not really complicated. What is the optimum temperature to grow algae? I'd guess it's on the warm side and varies by species.

But the filter... does the filter remove 100% of the biomass from the fluid stream? what is the nature of the algae product? Damp porridge, thin soup? Are the algae partially degraded by the filtration? Are these filters available commercially?

What channel is this? Sorry I don't get the question. is it because I said stay tuned - when I welcomed you to the group? No real channel here. RSVP

Hi Matt,

I believe that the sole issue for algae production is the separation of the algae solids from the water. Have you solved this challenge?

Matt,
TRANSPORTATION is the master key to basic survival, and the cornerstone of the economy. We all know that transportation presently depends on oil production, and oil production is peaking. We must focus first on transportation – it is the highest priority. The PickensPlan to transition vehicles to natural gas is a great start toward 100% energy independence, but is a stop-gap measure till we can transition to all electric transportation. Electric energy is strained without adding transportation demands; so we must drastically improve efficiency .
Evacuated Tube Transport (ETT) is a patented technology where travel occurs without air friction or rolling resistance (like “Space Travel on Earth”); ETT can accomplish 50 times more transportation per kWh (or carbon credit) than electric cars or trains. ETT is silent, low cost, safe, faster than jets, and is electric so it can make maximum use of wind or PV power. I invite you to visit my page to learn more about ETT

I've finally after 8 years come up with a valid answer to the oil question using the fastest growing biomass on Earth. I thought people wanted this. Where did every body go?
