Warmest wishes to you and yours for a happy holiday season! Would like to have you on The Green Revolution Show after the first of the year. Let's touch base after the holidays.
Haven't been able to get a response from the pickens team on an idea. Maybe you have some pull some where. Assuming the new wind farm is on hold, why not setup a fund to add a windmill to an existing wind farm ? I would contribute to it. My original reason for joining was to increase the use of wind energy.
I am seeking auto insurance for the dual-fuel CNG-gasoline used auto I recently purchased from the federal government through auction. My auto insurance company, 21st Century formerly AIG, says my VIN number is not listed. When I told them about the type of auto I purchased, 21st Century said they could not insure a modified auto, even though this CNG dual-fuel auto appears to have been right from the Chevrolet factory, because they would not know how to value a "modified" vehicle if it damaged. When I contacted my mother's auto insurance company, Amica, they searched three data based for the CNG dual-fuel VIN and could not find it and therefore could not insure it. Without auto insurance, I can not legally drive this vehicle and can not consume CNG as a transportation fuel.
Do you or any one in the PickenPlan organization have any direct leads to assist me in locating an insurance company that can insure this dual-fuel CNG-gasoline used auto?
Sincerely,
Robert A Evangelista

hi Jack, it's been awhile since I've been on this site. I moved recently am currently living in rural Arkansas. I've also been concentrating on my music in hopes that someday it will lead me to contacts to get my "play" going. You can check out my video's at www.youtube.com/elflive How is the pp movement going anyway? hope you're well, kris
Hi Jack,
Thanks for the kind words the other day. Weather was a bit of a problem, but there are always good things that result from any situation, such as future event info and further bonding with Alan and a contact I made with Clean Ocean Action.
Quick question: It seems that every major environmental/energy website I subscribe to has instituted an email campaign to support the Waxman bill currently in markup stages in DC. Why has PP chosen to do nothing on it? Would seem to me that another Virtual March would have been appropriate, considering the goings on with anywhere between 150 to 400 amendments being looked at by the opposition to delay the process.
Welcome back Jack. I hope things went as well as possible this weekend. I love your description of your fishing event!
I will post a couple of pictures once I get the phone's camera hooked up here with the desktop. Did any of them come through via texting yesterday? Just curious, as I never know what happens once you hit that send button.
There are 2 more events we have been invited to attend, one in Cape May and the second at Island Beach State Park. Once I have specific details I will forward on.
I have entered 34 new members into the system, with 8 more not accepted due to address/zip code only. I either will stop accepting these names and insist on email address only, or someone has to tell me how to get the ____things into the system. David is "working on it" with the "computer people". The total to input is now 21.
Hey back..........
Not much to report other than the weather here is beautiful and all is well...........
New membership is at a crawl. I have noticed a big influx of international and spammers, lol.
Thanks for stopping by. Leslie
Because you deserve it; close your eyes wrap your arms around your back and do the patting thing, that's us, expressing we are greatfull for your efforts!!!!

Jack, Thanks for contacting me, but I'm afraid I have no great insights to offer on organizing your event. (I've had to devote my efforts around financial services reform efforts, since last September, where my expertise lies.)
I would suggest that you consider inviting state agency officials concerned with energy initiatives and/or state tax policy and/or utilities.
Also, since you are train ride from DC, an invitation to a staffer from the U.S. Dept. of Energy might be in order - and might attract an audience. Some nonprofit organizations in DC, related to conservation / alternative energy, might also be able to provide a speaker.
I would also suggest that you view all of the "alternative energy" / "renewable energy" conferences held in the past year (do a web search) - find out who spoke at them - and consider inviting speakers on subjects you find attractive.
Another idea is to find out which professors at area universities are teaching / writing in the alternative energy field, and give them an invitation to speak.
Lastly, if the conference is held on a weekend (or Friday or Monday), or when Congress is not in session, consider inviting your Senator or Congressman/woman to speak. They love an audience.
And, of course, get someone associated with PickensPlan to speak - a "District Leader" or someone else. To talk about the PickensPlan, what it has accomplished (a great deal, as its influence was felt in the Presidential campaign last year, and greatly in the halls of Congress), what its goals are now, what activities will be occurring soon, and how to sign up and help.
Just my two cents worth. Good luck with the project. Ron
Sounds like you are doing great work! Proud to know you, Jack. You can bet that if I am in your area - I will be honored to get together with you and buy you a coffee!
Jack, glad to see you back on the PP. I see Kim has already told you of our meeting. What a great lady.
I also wanted to let you know that Rene Klink is having a conference call with all the DL's in her district. We will meet tomorrow at 1:00, let me know if you would like to listen in and I will give you the info.
Hope you had a great Easter weeken with your family.
Tu Amiga,
Leslie
Bet your ears are burning. I am visiting my parents in Florida. Just a bit up the road from Leslie G.... we just met for coffee. We both agree how much we enjoy you and respect your great efforts! What a pleasure to meet her. I was not surprised at how lovely she is - inside and out. One of these days I'll be in your neighborhood!
We had a laugh - she was pretty sure that I would show up with petitions and banners... ha ha ha. Clynton was betting on it, too.
I count you as another of the fine people I have met here.
